Stellar

Stellar

A Poem by Abigale LeCavalier

Stellar

Starting with a morning chill,
a shiver,
the not so numb feeling
of teeth chattering
like passing train cars,
the frozen fear
of a complicated life.

Stellar;
abruption in the face of angst.

The passer by
overly concerned,
“how do I ignore
this situation?”

Hesitation.

“without seeming
to do so.”

And a blue bird escapes
through an even bluer sky.

A moment of trepidation.

A situation better suited;
smiling down the drain,
disappearing,
with the dirty dishwater.
