The mystical land of Romania was the home of many a folk-tale about vampire lore. Vampires are humanoid blood-suckers who live by night and avoid direct sunshine. They prey upon the wandering souls lost in oblivion. Romania saw many vampire tales in its rich history and was considered a country of great vampire promise!

Our story involves to American anthropology professors from Dartmouth College, Connie and Carlos, recently wed, a rather handsome married couple. They teach courses on the rhetoric of mythology evolution and the applications of vampire lore to modern capitalism civilization consciousness, focusing on themes of avarice and sloth. Connie and Carlos have taught joint-classes using vampire films and non-vampire films such as Dracula 2000 and Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps to draw parallels between network ambition and blood-vitality mythology which goes back to the ancient world. Now, the two wed anthro-profs from Dartmouth are on a Tarom (Romanian Airlines) flight from JFK to Transylvania (Romania)!

CONNIE: Our flight seating and amenities are very comfy, no, darling?
CARLOS: Yes, darling; Tarom is a respected commercial airline company reflecting Romanian pride!

CONNIE:: Don't be so business-like; after all, we embark on a great vampire adventure in Transylania.

CARLOS: Alright.

When Connie and Carlos arrive in Romania, they're greeted by an order of Transylvanian knights who show them the mystical charms distributed to modern-day Romanian youngsters in the evolution and cultural maintenance of Romanian folk-lore. These charms such as games advocate a youthful curiosity about vampire castles and relics of great magical power(s), and professor Carlos becomes addicted to one of these 'video-games' on the modernized Genesis system owned ironically by the Transylvanian knights!

As Connie and Carlos prepare to embark on their journey to a fabled Transylvanian castle apparently 'haunted' by the underworld 'spirits' of real ancient vampires, they're advised by their guides, the wise Transylvanian knights, not to cross the borders/boundaries of moral law or seek to evade their simple and just academic responsibilities. Connie is a beautiful woman who must be shielded from the dark dangers of vampire dominions!

Carlos is a well-built though average-sized ethnic minority man living in the USA after moving there as a child from South America. He's an excellent amateur soccer player and is quite good at serving as the Dartmouth assistant athletic coach. Carlos is a passionate man towards anthropological studies and hopes to procure evidence of the environmental feel of vampire mists from the eerie castle he's visiting now with his dear wife-professor Connie!

CONNIE: Why'd the knights give us this crafted crossbow, darling>
CARLOS: They're to arm us in the event of a vampire invasion late at night, dear!

CONNIE: How'd this simple crossbow to protect our mortal souls, Carlos?
CARLOS: The arrows are tipped with a strange foreign garlic-sedative intoxicating to vampires.

As Connie and Carlos come face-to-face with a handful of lurking real vampires, seeming like they're half-dead immortals, they realize they're to use the knights' crafted/crafty crossbow to subdue these blood-sucking 'hosts' of hell. They're anthropological pursuits are over, and they have the needed 'evidence' to argue for the pervasive evolution of vampire dominions as folkloric realism. Firstly, Carlos must protect his dear Connie from the claws of these deformed blood-suckers!

DARTMOUTH: You found proofs of your vampire IQ?
CONNIE/CARLOS: We found our own commitments to each other!
DARTMOUTH: You're stirred by vampire fires of subversion, eh?
CONNIE/CARLOS: We're fascinated by the reality behind blood tales!
DARTMOUTH: Are you versed in adventure-quest education?
CONNIE/CARLOS: We're ready to be teachers of vampire dread!
