One of the things that makes the newest Alien film so darn cinematic is its storytelling-investment in the concept-imagination of species-survival blended with dangerous curiosity. The film, Alien: Covenant, inspired this dream-vignette. Enjoy (signing off),

I played Alien video-games all the time. One Saturday, I played for so many hours while drinking wine that when I went to sleep I dreamt I was transported inside a Weyland space-exploration mission during which I had to engage with a 'Red Xenomorph' (RX) alien creature of great intelligence and predatory fury, alongside a human crew.

My name's Amlan Satan. I'm an Algerian-American economics studying blood-diamond traffic with Interpol/CatTech relations in North America. Alien media is my side-hobby, and video-games are my forte, and I had no idea I'm in for the adventure-dream I was having that Saturday!

So, I'm on a Weyland space-crew landed on a human colony on a faraway planet called Origae being terrorized by the invading/visiting Red Xenomorph ('RX') alien creature. The planet Origae is otherwise just a human space-mining colony area for Weyland Company.

We're parked on Origae on the USS Sulaco space-ship sent to Origae by Weyland. We deboard the vessel and began exploring Origae and met the humans on the mining-colony area of the planet being terrorized. They're impressed by our space-ship but honestly just want to find ways to use it to escape the RX alien.

COLONY-MINER: Your Sulaco is outstanding and weapons outstanding, so we believe you'll save us!

We're armed Weyland space-soldiers and begin trekking around the terrains of the organic planet with our handy-dandy handheld laser-guns and Christian crosses around our necks! We hope we honestly don't have to fight these Red Xenomorph aliens, insect-dragon like creatures possessing acidic saliva/blood and when they spit their acid-saliva, it's explosive upon contact. Origae is equally haunting and eerie.

We find the Red Xenomorph (RX) alien inside one of the deep dark caves of Origae, and it's chasing us around as we evade it and try to shoot at the evil thing! We try to kill it with all our focus/training. I'm remembering in this dream-sleep experience my times playing Alien video-games and use my sharp-shooting skills acquired during the gameplay to hunt this RX alien with explosive saliva!

Our laser-guns are miracles, and we're at least able to create perimeter-rings of laser-fire to ward off the RX alien just enough to chase it and lure it and draw it into a deep ditch-hole inside one of the deep dark caves on Origae.

REPORT: We lost 5 of our 12 crew members on the Sulaco trying to trap this Red Xenomorph on Origae's varied terrain!

As we take off from Origae, a Black Xenomorph (BX) tries to jump on our ship taking off, but we use our thrusters to burn it alive, and we all remember this variant alien is not nearly as furious or evil or malicious as its 'red' cousin, so we bid it a grateful farewell en-route back to beloved Earth.

I wake from this dream-sleep 'adventure' (or nightmare!) in a cold sweat and decide to play more Alien video-games the next day but promise not to indulge so much in the future so as to get too drenched in the daring darkness of this type of adventure imagination, for the sake of sanity!

I go to the CalTech art studio the next week and decide to make an etching-print of the Red Xenomorph alien I encountered with that fictional Weyland space-crew on planet Origae.

I won't let this RX alien become my secret 'Frankenstein' and so resolve to get back into my gem-capitalism labyrinth research, stretching from Sierra Leone to Belgium, my 'normal' work-routine with Interpol-value!
