Fight Club II (Fanfiction)

A Story by Abishai100

Amlan is transformed by what may be just his alter-ego twin named Pirate into creating a dystopian 'Fight Club' mission for democracy-doctors.

"
A sequel of sorts to the rather bizarre neo-classical dystopian film Fight Club (David Fincher). Enjoy!

Amlan is a bored bureaucrat living in Toronto. He loves Alien video-games and mostly just does his work. He works very hard at an insurance company office in Toronto. However, his mind is about to bifurcate in fair Toronto.

Amlan is about to write a book about being a prototypical Bartleby-bureaucrat in the modern world, but he's now wondering if such an ambition is too dry or obviously closed-minded. Is he a symbolic alien to spirituality? Has his mind/life become overtly tedious? This nerd is about to shift his consciousness!

In his insurance company officeplace, Amlan works day in and day out as a regular and reliable insurance-agent. He works very hard and considered one of the best workers/employees. However, lately he's been doodling on his computer at work and is thinking about becoming someone else. Is it the office, which is otherwise sunny and sane?

AMLAN: I take my prescription medicines and vitamins and also take herbal supplements and creams, but my life's dry.

That's when this real-life Bartleby has a dream one night in which he's visited by his alter-ego twin who insists he's a 'real' specter or being in the universe. The twin-being introduces himself as Pirate, and he wants to invite Amlan to change his life in the way that he's been fantasizing, and he implores the bored Bartleby-like young man to follow him along on his revolutionary theory, raising his hand to Amlan as his ultimate Savior.

Amlan's walking the next week home after work early and meets a sunny and gorgeous woman on the street in Toronto who's selling flowers. Her name's Esmerelda, and she insists that she needs someone to offer her real fortune in her life, and he invites her back to his apartment and she sleeps-over, but the next morning, he discovers she's not in love with Amlan...but with his alter-ego twin Pirate who's now visibly walking around in his Toronto residence like a real being...in lust with Esmerelda!

AMLAN: What do you want with me, man?
PIRATE: I invite you to change your life and become a pirate like me, Amlan.
AMLAN: Why?
PIRATE: You'll see!

Pirate introduces Amlan to the street guerrilla scheme of using toy water-rifles to stick up taxi-drivers and steal their cabs while recruiting other like-minded young yuppie men in the city of Toronto to form underground 'Fight Clubs' in which they'll exorcise bureaucracy frustrations with staged boxing training.

PIRATE: Fight Clubs are meant to encourage overworking men to indulge their daydreams about...Christian revolution.

Members of Fight Club fan out over the city and begin to hijack and steal taxi-cabs with their toy water-rifles and then park them in odd places or crash them into trees or vacant buildings. The members then send the press messages reading, "We're not terrorists from foreign places...we're ex-cops trying to reveal the foolishness of meaningless crimes."

After like their 20th deed with this tax-mission, Amlan/Pirate now announce to Fight Club members that the success of their crusade in Toronto will inspire a completely new kind of mission/crusade. However, this success will not be overlooked by Amlan/Pirate.

AMLAN: We're devoted to the edification of men tired of capitalism and seeking aesthetics of dash.

Meanwhile, the Fight Club members continue to exercise in gymnasiums so as to hone their strength and enthusiasm for their weekly basement meetings during which they still carry out their boxing training. This is all for the revolution.

AMLAN/PIRATE: We'll be hosting a special frat-party at a nearby university house to symbolize modern distancing.

The new mission for Fight Club now involves the members boarding Euro-flights armed with toy water-rifled filled with acid and taking the planes hostage and landing them safely on the ocean and then fleeing the scene in speed-boats manned by other Fight Club members. Afterwards, the members rob banks in the cities by the water where the hijacked planes were landed, banks with safe-boxes holding 'blood-diamonds' (warlord-mined gems from Africa/Europe used to fund terrorism!). Once these gems are stolen by the members disguised as performance-artists seeking only photos of safe-box valuables for an upcoming Hollywood (USA) movie, they baton-transfer gems, some stolen, some purchased, to other members, who repeat this cycle through other planes and Euro-cities.

AMLAN/PIRATE: We've hit multiple Euro-cities through multiple Euro-planes, and gems are trafficked all over now!

The final mission plane is a German airline followed by a Frankfurt blood-diamond heist, coordinated by Amlan himself. Pirate congratulates Amlan when he reaches back to NYC on the same airline and plan to attend a horse-race in New Jersey. Overall, Amlan concludes that Pirate and Fight Club taught him the true meaning of dystopian imagination...and anti-terrorism blood-diamond highway vigilantism.

AMLAN: Pirate's disappeared from my life, and I'm now writing a new book...about anti-terrorism displacement.

The moral of this unusual story is, never underestimate the raw human/social value of indulging in one's strange and even unwarranted modern civilization democracy tirades. Will Amlan ever again be visited by Pirate?
