Guinness TanA Story by Abishai100A special diorama set in the United Kingdom, presenting an imagery about the potential 'shared folklore' of inter-group drama amidst dollar-troubles.
A special Catholic-Protestant inter-faith folklore vignette commemorating all the political labors involving social democracy in the modern United Kingdom (Northern Ireland) on this Labor Day during the 20th-anniversary year of 9/11, inspired by the unusual but stirring American political-film The Devil's Own (Alan J. Pakula). Hope you like,

==== There's nothing that heals the scars of Catholic-Protestant divisions/fears, even in troubled United Kingdom, like the cool golden froth of Guinness beers in special pubs catering to people of both faiths in the modern Earth. ![]() Welcome to Belfast (Northern Ireland), where the Irish-Catholic minority have lived for ages under a British-Protestant majority descended from generations of colonial settlers from England. After the independence of mainland Catholic Ireland in the early 20th Century, the northern tip of Ireland, Northern Ireland, was kept as part of the British dominion since it'd been colonized and settled by generations of British-Protestant settlers. This infuriated and frustrated the Irish-Catholic population in Dublin/Ireland who didn't wish to be separated from their Catholic brethren in Belfast. What ensued in Belfast (Northern Ireland) was continued forms of decades of armed resistance against continuing British rule by various 'evolving' factions of the 'Irish Republican Army' (IRA). ![]() There was the Provisional IRA, the New IRA, the Real IRA, and even the Foreign IRA. These factions of the IRA wanted firstly to obtain/win more socioeconomic improvements for the under-represented/unemployed Irish-Catholic minority population living alongside a British-Protestant majority in Northern Ireland. While Sinn Fein, the legal/political 'branch' of the Irish Republican Army, continued to debate in British/UK Parliament about improved socioeconomic conditions in Belfast and employment equalities between Catholics and Protestants in Northern Ireland, the various factions of the IRA engaged in guerrilla-actions against British police-military controls and barracks in Belfast. This comprised many year of serious 'troubles' between these two dominant denominations of the world Christian community --- Catholics and Protestants! ![]() In America, the Catholics number in many as an established religious group. There're also many Irish-Catholics in America living as citizens. However, in Belfast (Northern Ireland), the Irish-Catholic population lives as a minority group. Life in the streets of Belfast (Northern Ireland) is shattering. You're riding a bicycle down the street one Saturday morning, hoping for some milk from the local grocery and suddenly witness a bomb explosion or British police-military street-shooting of a random running/scurrying IRA man. This is 'normal' for the Irish-Catholics of Northern Ireland, and they simply continue to ride around in their bicycles, perhaps hoping for some kind of Catholic-Protestant inter-faith miracle-cure to this deep division in civilization and in the United Kingdom. ![]() That's where we find the Algerian-Indian blood-diamond infiltration-agent with Interpol-relations named Amlan Satan (code-name: Storm-Shadow) working in the year 2010 in Belfast (Northern Ireland), subverting baron-bank smuggled gems from conflict-zones in Africa used to finance underworld crime-lords in Belfast who're exploiting the fragile situation in Northern Ireland as profiteers and destabilizing 'normal' works between IRA through Sinn Fein and Parliament in the UK. Storm-Shadow (Amlan Satan) has taken a more radical stance now as the station Interpol-relations intelligence-man and has adopted the Irish 'avatar' Peter Pan --- THE BOY WHO COULD FLY. ![]() PETER PAN ('Storm-Shadow'): We use sociological folklore and myths to deconstruct the Belfast idea that religions divide! ![]() BELFAST GAZETTE: Can this 'Peter Pan' fight the Queen and take down Catholic-Protestant paranoia in the United Kingdom? ![]() Peter Pan ('Storm-Shadow') decides to perform a special commemoration guerrilla act during a special police-monitored Easter Rising parade in Belfast (Northern Ireland) and costumes himself as a maudlin or thespian, pretending to be some kind of old-world Irish politician or priest arguing for the unification of Catholics and Protestants and carries a basket of Irish-colored Easter-eggs and walks down the street with an audio-enhancement device proclaiming to the people in the parade/crowd, "Peter Pan is here!" ![]() PETER PAN: We won't stand for Irish-Catholic unemployment and inter-faith divisions on Easter...in Belfast; no one does. ![]() Amlan Satan ('Storm-Shadow') is half-Algerian and half-Indian and has family-heritage relations linked to the FLN resistance movement against French colonial rule and the Quit India movement against British colonial rule in the 20th Century. He finds intriguing 'folk' guerrilla parallels between Algerian/Indian movements and the Irish-Catholic troubles/struggles in Northern Ireland. This has given him the necessary imagination inspiration for his newfound 'Peter Pan' mission during the Easter Rising commemoration parade in Belfast! ![]() PETER PAN: I'm taking Polaroid snapshots of the British police-vehicles parked during the Easter Rising parade in Belfast. ![]() PETER PAN: I'm distributing purchased copies of a special history-novel about the deadly 'Black-and-Tans' in Belfast! ![]() Now, the 'Black-and-Tans' were recruited into the RIC British-Protestant police-military force in the United Kingdom in the 20th Century, listed as 'constables' and outfitted as peculiarly dressed street-patrolmen of ultimate sociocultural intimidation during the Empire's troubles/struggles with the IRA. The 'Black-and-Tans' were regularly listed in headlines as involved with violent retaliations against IRA members and sympathizers and shelters. The Black-and-Tans were very unusual in appearance and sometimes included WWI veterans in its yearly years who simply wanted an outlet to vent their continuing fitness interest to act out on their stagnant brute strength and will. They'd plant fear into the hearts of the IRA with uniformed pageantry about British providence. ![]() PETER PAN ('Storm-Shadow'): The Black-and-Tans were scary as hell in Belfast and further divided Catholics-Protestants. ![]() PETER PAN ('Storm-Shadow'): Some consider the 'Black-and-Tans' the United Kingdom equivalent of Hell's Angels. ![]() BELFAST MAGAZINE: Who on Earth can challenge a media dominion of the Black-and-Tan history but Peter Pan himself? ![]() A famous writer in the UK catalogued this very strange period in Empire history, regarding the formation and uniforming of these very unusual 'Black-and-Tan' enforcers/guardsmen, stationed in Northern Ireland to remind the struggling/troubled/angry Irish-Catholic defiant minority population that the IRA wouldn't simply bail them out of Hell's Kitchen! ![]() PETER PAN ('Storm-Shadow'): Our mission in Belfast for this Easter Rising parade is to destroy imprints of inter-faith hatred. ![]() BELFAST GAZETTE: Perhaps this 'Peter Pan' is Northern Ireland's rendition of a ninja-knight or perhaps Batman himself! ![]() PETER PAN: The greatest 'evil' the eccentric 'Black-and-Tans' created in Northern Ireland was the 'blue-flower' of arguments. ![]() So, Peter Pan dumps Irish-colored Easter eggs during the Easter Rising parade in Belfast (Northern Ireland) under the parked but unmanned British police-military vehicles. Some of these eggs have explosives in them and set off harmless fires, since no British policeman is sitting inside the actual parked vehicles! Meanwhile, he uses his audio-enhancement device to announce to the crowd, "Peter Pan has lit a 'dowry' fire into the machinery-fear of the 'Black-and-Tan' dollars." ![]() BELFAST MAGAZINE: What this bizarre Peter Pan theater during the Easter Rising parade in Belfast's shown is media-arts. ![]() Peter Pan ('Storm-Shadow') and his Irish-Catholic wife living in Northern Ireland released a joint sexy photo-calendar that year in Belfast which presented their portraits as representations of modern UK life, darkened/colored by the fears of inter-faith paranoia but uplifted by the society-life image/idea that modern democracy rhetoric based on commercial socioeconomic conditions improvements (consumerism!) would finally unite the Catholics and Protestants living together in Belfast as two religious/cultural groups with a shared passion for...folklore. ![]() BELFAST GAZETTE: If the 'Black-and-Tans' were still around in Belfast, they'd call Peter Pan...a dreamer. ==== "Money is everything" (Ecclesiastes) © 2021 Abishai100 |
