Amlan Satan (code-name: Storm-Shadow) is a diamond-pirate who's been operating mostly in Los Angeles and Boston until the new 'blood-diamond' shipment smuggled from Africa brings a huge silo into the Manhattan Diamond District, famous for its iconic/canonical jewelry/diamond-stores/merchants. Blood-diamonds are warlord-mined gems from Africa/Europe used to fund underworld crimes. Satan (Storm-Shadow) decides to intercede in this terrible criminal highway by stealing blood-diamonds trafficked into idyllic Manhattan and shuffled into regular or 'clean' gems in Manhattan's Diamond District, since blood-diamonds are giving Manhattan a bad reputation!

SATAN ('Storm-Shadow'): This will be my greatest mission as a real-life diamond-pirate.

There's already a terrific TIME magazine piece on the nature and horror of modern blood-diamond mining/smuggling from conflict-zones in Africa. When these dark gems are smuggled into places like the United Kingdom and resource underworld criminals in politically-struggled areas like Northern Ireland, real-life political-action groups like guerrilla-intelligence IRA-monitors and Sinn Fein are suddenly burdened by the problems of underworld criminal financing as a backdrop to their very serious/real political aspirations like inter-religious socioeconomic reforms/improvements through Parliament politics!

SATAN ('Storm-Shadow'): Settling into New York has been a dream, since I find myself a terrific Islanders ice-hockey fan.

Well, the Islanders are doing very well-indeed this year; they're on track to grab their first Stanley Cup title since their string of wins in the late 20th Century. However, many Islanders fans are also Manhattan Diamond District consumers, and Satan ('Storm-Shadow') hopes to help his Islanders co-fans find a 'vision' of clean capitalism as these blood-diamonds smuggled into North America may be destroying modern USA commercial spirit.

DIAMOND DISTRICT MERCHANT: We pride ourselves on the natural ability to sift through awfuls to find gems of rarity.

Now, the leader of Sinn Fein has already talked to Parliament messengers about the dilemma of criminal gem-financing in the United Kingdom (Northern Ireland) threatening raw street-anarchy and resourcing underworld criminals to sully the already-challenged political environment of Catholics and Protestants seeking to build sane and secure commercial bridges in Belfast. Sinn Fein doesn't want these evil diamonds to be a thing of 'norm' in places like Manhattan's awesome Diamond District.

SATAN ('Storm-Shadow'): There're reports of a rival diamond-thief team in New York, but they won't dampen my mission.

Satan's a huge fan of Transformers robot-toys and particularly the silver-diamond faced super-city transforming robot Metroplex who represents all the modern glory of civilization traffic and security. If he marries someday, he hopes to gift his son with a special diamond Metroplex toy.

SATAN: Americans sell great toys in stores and on eBay, and I want the right inspiration to make Metroplex a Manhattanite.

Satan reads a Dior article in a Manhattan fanzine about a celebrity diamond fare linked to the Diamond District and notes how one of these stars is connected to another star who's making a specific political-subject thriller about blood-diamond hellfire. He decides to attend the media-event posing as a photojournalist and tells the star, "I hope you'll talk in the media about this strange diamond-thief team stealing jewels from New York stores and who may be linked to actual blood-diamond smugglers who're destroying the American gem-exchange."

SATAN ('Storm-Shadow'): Anyways, I dunno the time for this rival-team exposure and need to focus on this heist now.

INTERPOL: Blood-diamond infiltration is vital for modern engagements with criminal resourcing/financing!

Satan places an anonymous blog on the Internet with a child-like comic book doodle depicting himself as a hopeful wealthy American baron-prince with a gorgeous damsel who wishes to simply find love and not doom in the Manhattan world of diamond markets.

Everything is set for this blood-diamond heist. Satan's marked a specific Jewish store in Manhattan who's been receiving, not to their knowing, corrupt blood-diamonds from Sierra Leone. He'll break in with a diamond-studded gun and in costume/mask and substitute the diamonds with others he stole from LA and claim he's part of an Interpol-theatrics street program to create media buzz about the Diamond District becoming sullied and further claims he'll be followed in by real Jewish investors and diamond-merchants from Africa and Europe who'll be placing investments following this Polaroid-photo media-stunt.

MANHATTAN GAZETTE: We believe this theater-pirate we've nicknamed 'Shadow' is some kind of blood-diamond expert.

Satan decides to offer up an anonymous interview-chat online during which he explains he's indeed this 'Shadow' and has relations with Interpol-monitors and wants to make sure Manhattanites feel that blood-diamonds aren't simply sifted along with clean and pure and honorable gems in the Diamond District and further claims he's got supervision ties to a major Sinn Fein figure working with modern blood-diamond detection. When asked if he's a sympathizer, he tells jokingly, "I'm a lone-ranger of the 'Foreign Irish Republican Army' (F-IRA)."

NYPD: This 'Shadow' character actually left-behind his diamond-studded handgun after the media-stunt and we're confused.

Suddenly, a flock of major celebrities want in on the action and are making all sorts of statements in modern fanzines about the special North American capitalism-value of monitoring blood-diamond activity and begin to endorse major Hollywood projects promoting awareness of this special-interest entertainment!

NORAID: We've always provided socioeconomic support talk online for Sinn Fein works with cleaning up Belfast streets!

When Satan's rival diamond-thief team ('Rascals') light up a NYPD cop-car in rage, seeing they have a new 'upstart' in their midst, Satan blogs anonymously (as 'Shadow') on the NY-Internet, "Maybe this has become a James Bond contest after all, but I'm the good-guy, because I don't threaten policemen."

Satan is now dating an Irish-Catholic woman in Manhattan named Charlize O'Meara and buys her a copy of the excellent diamond-heist film Flawless (Michael Caine) for Valentine's Day!

SATAN ('Storm-Shadow'): I'm getting Charlize a special Green Lantern inspired 'clean' diamond-studded wedding-ring.

NORAID: We're recruiting more media figures for our special message to promote social awareness of blood-diamond fears.

Will blood-diamond continue to endanger the work of real political officers in this modern globalization climate of commerce-driven peace/exchange in this special 20th-anniversary year of 9/11, when anti-American terrorists destroyed the commerce-symbolic World Trade Center (NYC) with hijacked passenger airplanes? It seems Storm-Shadow would whisper, "Yes."
