Detroit is the city of cars and culture and Lions football and it's also where a certain Interpol-relations guerrilla-operationalist named Amlan Satan (code-name: Storm-Shadow) has chosen to retire from a life of political intrigue.

Satan (Amlan) now collects Lions football trading-cards (e.g., Barry Sanders) and enjoys Thanksgiving football on TV in his fine Detroit apartment. However, something inside this 'nerdist' political man of intrigue is about to snap...in Detroit!

You see, Satan (Amlan) is now focused on a new 'mission' for social imagination. He's been following around this stunning Irish-Catholic woman named Shelley in the Detroit subway system and noting her shopping patterns/behaviors and likes/dislikes and basically taking psycho-physical 'notes' on her personage. You see, Amlan Satan has decided that Shelley is the 'angel' of his new 'stalker' journal about discovering sanity in a world of crime and anarchy through the footsteps of another human being --- someone to follow...someone to watch over his sense of alienation. Shelley has become Satan's special 'muse' for Detroit depression.

He follows the lovely Shelley into a movie theater in Detroit where she's about to enjoy a nice film about the modern intrigue about blood-diamond piracy traffic from conflict-zone Sierra Leone, stretching into new age dominions/spheres of economics underworld complications such as sectarian Northern Ireland and fortune-drawn British Columbia. This film stars Leo DiCaprio, and Satan takes iPhone shots of Shelley sitting alone in the theater enjoying this modern/Western film and says to himself, "Shelley might become a 'diamond' in the rain."

You see, the gov't-operator Satan (Amlan) has gone insane and re-directed his daydreams about focused justice/sanity into the personage of Shelley, allowing her to 'become' an angel of his journal-ism about self-idealized traffic in the modern world! She's become his muse of political depression, but what if she turns out to be...a 'demon' herself? What will become of this 'Detroit' thinker, Amlan Satan?
