==== Amlan Satan works and lives in Boston, Massachusetts. Every dawn before work-day begins, he sits in Boston Park and eats a cherry-danish and drinks a cup of Wawa coffee before heading to the book-shop where he works as a manager. ![]() Satan studied at Dartmouth College before doing some mysterious underground rumored political action work in the UK, but this remains a rumor in Boston. He's a popular man and liked by his customers at his Boston book-shop where he works diligently and reliably and comes off as generally affable to his customers who're from all kinds of cultural backgrounds in the traffic-friendly US city of Boston. ![]() SATAN: Books are my life, and so I consider my position at the book-shop reflective of my general imagination...and dream! ![]() He just got a rare classic reprint series number of Eamon de Valera's seminal work on political paradigm parallels between India and Ireland regarding 20th-Century resistance to British rule with economic impacts/symbolism. Satan is thinking this book shall surely enhance the market-richness of his Boston book-shop and have customers of intellectual and/or political curiosity wondering/asking about the quality and face of globalism politics in this new era of network-driven and customs-driven traffic (e.g., Facebook-culture). ![]() There's a secret cult-rumor linked to Amlan Satan's Boston book-shop which has people gossiping that this average/affable American 'book dude' was somehow/once linked to some underground political 'blood-diamond' infiltration intelligence-work in Northern Ireland (United Kingdom) on behalf of the Interpol-relations group known loosely as the 'Foreign Irish Republican Army' (F-IRA), but this might be that sort of Boston 'chatter' typical of American fanfare! ![]() One day, a lovely woman walks into Satan's Boston book-shop, having heard of the street-chatter of his shelf-collection of the iconic Eamon de Valera book on political complexity theory. This woman happens to be a BU poly-sci professor, and her name's Natasha, and she asks Satan (Amlan!) if she can peruse one of the copies of the India/Ireland book he keeps in the shop. Satan found her quite attractive and can't help but want to walk by her numerously as she's reading the book while in the shop by the shelf where the copies are kept. He's thinking he wants to take her out for some coffee and wants the right question to ask, so he resolves to approach her, finally, and then asks her, "How'd a cup of coffee and small-talk about Irish intrigue strike you, Natasha?" ![]() NATASHA: Your book-shop is quite charming, Satan! AMLAN: Why, thanks, Natasha. NATASHA: How long have you worked there? AMLAN: About 3 years to the season. NATASHA: Are you a Valentine-fan? AMLAN: It's the Valentine's Day season, and I'm happy to be here with you. NATASHA: Do you know of those rumors you're some blood-diamond guerrilla dude? AMLAN: I've heard them from some friends/customers, but they're dismissive! NATASHA: You shouldn't...or wouldn't tell me, right, Amlan? AMLAN: Why'd I want you to be put in some strange street-gossip dangers, Natasha? NATASHA: True. AMLAN: Besides, you're too cute to worry about poly-sci right now. NATASHA: I'm moved you're impressed by my 'academic' direction(s). AMLAN: You're a portrait of a diary Boston lady. NATASHA: I feel this might lead to some 'diamond' friendship...at least! ![]() We're now free to speculate whether/not Satan (Amlan) will indeed entreat this a-political budding friendship with the lovely-lady Natasha, whom he met at his fine/iconic Boston book-shop. Will this 'romance' blossom into something worthy of note for replacement of political-dangers gossip in trafficked Boston (USA)? Will Natasha use the Eamon de Valera book for some poly-sci lecture at BU and tell Satan? Americans do love a good...detour. ==== "Money is everything" (Ecclesiastes) © 2021 Abishai100 |
