==== I'm a huge fan of sports and media-markets for sports and social activity in the West. I'm a Detroit Lions Thanksgiving football fan as well and am recounting to you the iconic and fun-spirited 1995 Thanksgiving football matchup between the Lions and Vikings as a 'nerdist' of Western dreams! I'm so psyched. ![]() I'm more of a Lions fan than a Vikings fan, and maybe that's because Lions fangear makes for more 'sexy' sports fanfare, which is not to discount what the Vikings have given to media of sports/football, Tarkenton and Carter and Favre not excluding, but Lions fangear reminds us of the 'joy' of capitalism, right? ![]() I work as an Interpol-relations blood-diamond infiltrations-operationalist in North America and the UK for FIRA and the Friends of Humanity (FOH), and I take the train home to Detroit or sometimes to Boston in time for Thanksgiving football TV in America. It's a relief from all the 'stress' of modern intelligence-traffic commuting. ![]() Thanksgiving is an annual American festival of food and grace representing pluralism in America, and football on TV has become a new 'hallmark' in this celebrated pluralist-celebration of Western dreams. ![]() My political danger-work with blood-diamond analysis intercontinental has given me a special and thrilling view of dollars! The American/Western sports-network we know broadcasting programs like SportsCenter reminds us why for example, say, Thanksgiving football-TV in America has become synonymous with the 'cadence' of modern socialized dollars...and diamonds. ![]() Well, so anyway, on with our fanfare-tale, and it's involving the fun 1995 Lions and Vikings, and the Vikings cheerleaders that year for Thanksgiving showed up with the full color and charm of anticipated Thanksgiving dreams. ![]() The game was tight and featured two Hall of Fame African-American superstars, Lions Barry Sanders (RB) and Vikings Warren Moon (QB), who'd pull out some heroics in this 1995 Thanksgiving miracle. The game started out tight, friends, and the gritty Lions pulled out to a 14-7 lead thanks to two TD-passes to Brett Perriman and a Vikings response-score from Warren Moon's monster-pass TD (55 yards!). ![]() The fans in the stadium/arena were as expected cheering for their respected Thanksgiving day teams, in sometimes costumes reflecting their admiration of modern media-broadcast social activity in North America. ![]() The Vikings would avenge themselves for the gap in the 1st quarter by creating exciting offense and defense in the 2nd quarter, friends. A gripping pass from the Lions QB resulted in a 21-7 lead early in the 1st, but that was it. After that, the Vikings took over in the 2nd. A kick-return TD and a fumble-return TD for the Vikings resulted in a 21-21 tie-score in that amazing 2nd quarter, followed by an amazing pass from Warren Moon to Cris Carter, affirming this quarter as a Vikings march. ![]() Some field-goals later between both teams in the next two quarters, including 2 TDs with a pass from the Lions QB and a running-TD by Lions RB Barry Sanders gave the Lions a 10-point lead late in the game that a late-TD pass from Warren Moon to Cris Carter proved too little to overcome the deficit, leading to the eventual (relieving!) Lions Thanksgiving victory 44-38 that day, which would inspire many young fans to re-create the exciting matchup in modern video-game play! That's a different story. ![]() Thanksgiving football is about American pride...and excellence and beauty. The Lions-Vikings matchup in 1995 was no different, and it proved to create many a 'folk-tale' about what actually makes Thanksgiving TV in North America so darn...unforgettable. ![]() LIONS COACH: We're happy to pull out with this superior triumph in what is sure to be considered a holiday-season gem. ==== "Money is everything" (Ecclesiastes) © 2021 Abishai100 |
