Amlan Satan is given the college-hoops nickname 'Rich King' because he's a fortunate Algerian-American prince and inheritor of a lucrative intelligence-software security company when he transfers to Duke University to play as the 'invaluable' 6th man for the Blue Devils college-basketball team as it attempts to repeat as national champs in 1992.

Meanwhile, there's great social and politico-cultural intrigue afoot on the Philadelphia campus of UPenn, where there's 1992 intrigue involving affirmative-action policy talks regarding admission policies favoring the upward social-democratic mobility of ethnic-minorities in modern-day America.

The issue of affirmative-action has been a key subject matter in modern American society --- in employment/education. The affirmative-action 'procedure' in academic/office admission and hiring policies involves the 'assistance' of ethnic-minority individuals who might have 'a better chance' with right relaxed assignment processes creating personal motivations, under administrative guidances, favoring struggling minorities to seek great upward mobility overall conducive to the national economy and therefore creates great journalism-headlines.

Unfortunately, amidst all these modern 1992 affirmative-action (AA) policy talks at the prestigious Ivy League school (UPenn), three major athlete-recruits admitted under new age AA policies are suspects in an administration-office break-in and burglary of key administration documents regarding statistics of minority-recruitment under AA policies. The Philly news-headlines suggest that these three African-American (minority) suspect-athletes were part of a larger 'political espionage' involving a more 'aggressive' public monitoring of controversial AA policies under-the-gun so to speak. However, the athletes claim they've no knowledge of the actual goings-on of the 'political' espionage tied to this random modern campus (UPenn) dilemma.

This is all going-on during the exciting 1992 Duke Blue Devils college-hoops season as the mighty team, once respected underdogs and now competing for a repeat-title (following their triumphant 1991 championship!) in the Philadelphia area, as Duke prepares to challenge rival Kentucky Wildcats (coached by vaunted Rick Pitino who's managing a team of gifted athletic basketball seniors coming back for retribution following a devastating 4-year suspension!) at the Philadelphia Spectrum in the 1992 college-basketball regional finals, to see who gets to the esteemed 'Final Four' of the championship tourney! The UPenn campus however is dealing with this strange AA (affirmative-action) news-controversy and tries to still encourage its Philly area sports-fan students to cheer on Duke-Kentucky at the Spectrum, making the campus somewhat pensive!

AMLAN SATAN ('Rich King'): This is all very radical, and I think of Mississippi Burning (film) about race, but I'm game-praying!

Satan is the respected 'invaluable' 6th-man of the Duke Blue Devils college-hoops team, and his beautiful girlfriend is thinking all this media-sports news in the Philly area will add a vital ad/dash/spice to the modern 'equation' of media/society driven race-related American society diaspora.

AMLAN SATAN ('Rich King'): As a 'prince-of-fortune' in America, I want this Duke-Kentucky game to reveal American splendor!

UPenn prepares for the Philly-area (Spectrum) Duke-Kentucky 1992 game, much-anticipated, with stronger area security-police who hope to control any potential city-riot created by the AA (affirmative-action) policy news-controversy, so everyone's hoping for media-glittered American peace created by broadcast collegiate athletics!

DUKE COACH: We're excited to go to Philadelphia and challenge Kentucky in the regional finals and create American dreams.

The game starts and the stars of both teams including Laettner, Hurley, Hill (Duke) and Masburn, Woods, Pelprhey (Kentucky) keep the score tight, and Kentucky leads in the early goings-on, but Duke leads 50-45 at the end of the 1st period.

It's Sean Woods of Kentucky Wildcats who goes out to a stunning leadership-role and creates a hot-hand for scoring for the ambitious Wildcats who seek retribution-glory against the mighty Blue Devils of Duke University! However, the Duke coach puts in Amlan Satan ('Rich King') to provide some vital/needed assists/steals and 3-point-shooting so Duke can keep-pace with the brand of 'daring' created by Kentucky's 'defiant' Woods.

KENTUCKY COACH: We're thinkin' very serious/focused, since the Blue Devils have a full-roster and deep bench; we're strong.

It's a miracle. Kentucky creates a 48-43 score-edge in the 2nd period, but 6th-man and recruit Algerian-American recruit Amlan Satan ('Rich King') provides key zone offense in the 3rd and 4th periods, providing some great steals-before-assists and 3-pointers, creating a nice 'show' for stars like Laettner and Hill, and when Laettner the 'legend' scores the unforgettable buzzer-beater in overtime, Duke runs-away with an unbelievable 104-103 final scoreline. This is ultimate American college-hoops!

UPENN DEAN: Many of our students attended the Duke-Kentucky game at the Spectrum and watched Satan lift social day.

AMLAN SATAN ('Rich King'): This will be 'terrific' for media-broadcasts of American sports...and race-related ideals in dance!

Afterwards, Amlan Satan becomes a manga-comics writer/artist and 'pens' a group of race-value sci-fi futuristic adventure storylines involving a prince-pilot named Sterling who's mired in grave matters about racism and must use the social arena of competitive activities and space-racing to lift the human spirit out of the 'bottomless pit' of danger.
