StrangersA Story by Abishai100A strange event occurs in an idyllic American town called Brookline, where 'Strangers' descend to deliver a 'dogma' message to a young couple mired in deep!
A fun but rather offbeat fictional horror-story/crime-tale inspired loosely by the iconic modern American horror-film The Strangers, a tale of American...displacement!

==== Brookline (Mass) is a great residential area in New England (USA), and it's the site of nice restaurants and a main-street and a decent public school and community. ![]() At Christmastime, the night-streets of Brookline are lit up for the holiday spirits, and you can find nice angles/views for classic American photography. ![]() This is where Janet and David Peeples were married and settled down, purchasing a nice/decent home in the rather nice residential area of Brookline (Mass), and it's where they intend to retire in happiness and monetary comforts, if heaven allows. ![]() JANET: We've got a really nice home here in Brookline and intend to host wine-parties. DAVID: We've no intention to have pesky dogs/pets and keep a very clean home! ![]() The young married-couple, the Peeples of Brookline, purchased a custom wood-crafted duck-phone for their Brookline (Mass) living-room, and Janet uses it to call her girlfriends in the daytime while David's at his architecture office in the main-street of the town. ![]() Things took a sour turn, very sour, in the Peeples home in Brookline when Janet/David began to quibble and bicker about their saved earnings from David's architecture business/office. This scaled up into loud fights and punches and pushes and screaming, which some neighbors complained about to the police, prompting some cop-cars to idly drive-by and perform some routine weekly checks, which amounted to just one warning for David Peeples after it was discovered that Janet had a bruised face. ![]() JANET: I've decided to move some of my mother's diamonds into a separate safe-box purchased for our shared house chest! ![]() The Peeples (Janet/David) of Brookline continued to host their nice monthly wine-parties for their young/hip friends and neighbors of the community, and no one questioned the town-chatter that the young handsome couple were fighting a lot and loudly and brought undue attention. This had become the 'odd hypocrisy' of American life (married-life) in Brookline, in an otherwise very idyllic American home. Who'd ever notice? ![]() STRANGERS: We're doing a town speculation crusade and Brookline's our next stop, and we're driving around at night. ![]() The 'Strangers' are three masked self-proclaimed 'murderous-vigilantes' (real psychopaths!) who've wandered into the otherwise idyllic American town of Brookline and are doing 'spot-checks' of the 'spiritual heartbeat' of this American area. These masked individuals, two guys and a gal/doll, call themselves 'Strangers' for a good reason --- they consider themselves wandering philosopher critics of American hypocrisy. ![]() The Strangers were monitoring the Peeples house in Brookline (Mass) when they noticed that Janet/David were quibbling and bickering and fighting in unholy fashion in this wonderful American residential town. These 'Strangers' decided one night to arrive at the Peeples house with hatchets/axes and make their way into the home and tie up Janet while one of the masked psychopaths decapitated David Peeples with an axe. This would become an American folk-tale in Brookline (Mass)! ![]() STRANGERS: Quiet has become this quaint residential home in Brookline (Mass) where domestic-violence is now a ghost-tale. ![]() David was decapitated and Janet's wrists were cut and she bled to death rather painlessly while tied up by the 'Strangers' in the Peeples Brookline (Mass) home in this American story. The Peeples were ceremoniously buried in the town cemetery by their friends/neighbors and comments flew like, "The 'Strangers' had delivered upon Brookline a 'tombstone' about the scary apathy behind American tragedies." ![]() One year later, a seminal film about strange goings-on involving an unsolved eerie case about masked assailants terrorizing a random American couple in America came to theaters, and rumors arose again in quiet/peaceful/idyllic Brookline (Mass), that the supposed 'real' psychos depicted in this iconic neo-horror film were the same people tied to the Peeples tragedy in Brookline. ![]() BROOKLINE RESIDENT: We just yearn for the Christmas-season where our town is once again the den of quiet...dreams. ==== "Money is everything" (Ecclesiastes) © 2021 Abishai100 |
