Eagles-Browns [1991]: The American Dream

Eagles-Browns [1991]: The American Dream

A Story by Abishai100
"

A sports-graphic remembering an iconic pro-football game symbolizing the general American love of distances.

"
An offbeat sports-fanfic inspired by an uncanny moment in the unusual Eagles-Browns (NFL) rivalry, which reminds us why we love 'd' sports-cinema like Jerry Maguire (Tom Cruise)! Thanks for reading,
DISCLAIMER: I have no official ties to either American team mentioned in this 'fanfiction' and intend this to simply be a work of dramatized demo.

Two special US sates are Pennsylvania and Ohio, because both US states offer great American folk-life, hard working people, and classic sports fanfare, not to mention great schools! Ohio boasts the University of Cincinnati, a very ambitious urban campus with a terrific men's basketball team which has produced the great Nick Van Exel, Bearcats guard.

Ohio is also where the pro-football team Cleveland Browns, led by the great Bernie Kosar (QB) in 1991, challenged the Philadelphia Eagles of Pennsylvania! Kosar is considered a legend in American football.

Pennsylvania not only boasts the Super Bowl winning Philadelphia Eagles but also the prestigious UPenn campus, of an Ivy League school, which sees outstanding ambitious students aspiring for greatness in the USA while their beloved Eagles strive for broadcast laurels. UPenn campus is a great site to visit for tourists looking for an Ivy in a city!

In 1991, the Browns of Cleveland (Ohio) challenged the ambitious Philadelphia Eagles (Pennsylvania) in a game that could be considered a hallmark of this under-appreciated 'micro-rivalry' in pro-football, especially because the Eagles had to wield their non-standard star-QB Jim McMahon, who'd been otherwise become famous for his role as the Super Bowl winning Bears (Chicago) QB. McMahon of the Eagles wanted to destroy Kosar of Cleveland and was suited in the right sun-visor helmet-gear to achieve that 1991 season.

SPORTS-WRITER: What makes the Browns-Eagles rivalry special is its light on the working-class hero spirit in pro-sports.

Well, the Browns-Eagles rivalry did produce an 'uncanny' 1991 American Bowl game in London (Wembley Stadium) and other games in the teams' histories, and in the modern era has seen cool moments from new star-QB Baker Mayfield (Cleveland) elicit out a new generation of sports-fanfare creating continuing human passion!

Two special princes are commenting on that iconic 1991 Eagles-Browns game between Jim McMahon and Bernie Kosar, and the first prince is a maudlin-thespian named Shadow who likes to compare this rivalry to the allure of sapphire gems. Some rumor he's actually a diamond-thief from Amsterdam.

The other prince is an Algerian warlock named Rasputin who's a die-hard Eagles fan, and he thinks that the 1991 Eagles-Browns matchup between McMahon-Kosar captured much of the sports-glory in working towns that highlights his general love of the aesthetics of mystical energy...and media.

SHADOW: My Kosar-Browns (faves) were up by 23 points before your Eagles stormed back!
RASPUTIN: This was a moment in this rivalry exemplary of the 'detention' of this pro-game.

It's true folks. Shadow/Rasputin are absolutely correct. The Eagles-Browns 1991 matchup between McMahon-Kosar was begun/spun by a 23-0 lead by Cleveland, but McMahon's under-watched Eagles came back in cool manners to grab a miraculous 32-30 win and shocked all spectators (TV/arena) in 4 periods of scoring representing diligent dancing.

SHADOW: Me thinks Kosar will forever remember this game as a hallmark of distances.
RASPUTIN: It's a moment like this that can be canonized as a toast to American...dates.
