In a quiet Colorado town in modern times, a young brother-and-sister were a handsome pair of high-school teachers preparing to be chaperones for the local high-school prom event which would offer the sleepy-town a dose of nice magic.

The sibling-teachers, Hansel and Gretel, were Algerian-Americans who'd taught math and literature (respectively!) at the school and were serving as the prom chaperones of the high-school which went off without a hitch and was considered a rather terrific American event in Colorado, inspiring the siblings (Hansel and Gretel) to follow-through with a nice post-prom forest-vacation trip-plan, after the prom.

HANSEL: I found us a terrific forest-cabin to spend the weekend drinking ale after the prom-event, sis.

GRETEL: Well, the photos of the glassy-cabin look really great, bro.

Now, Hansel and Gretel had taught math and literature at the Colorado town high-school for the past 3 years and thought they'd earned the special 'right' to spend a weekend retreat at the cabin together drinking ale and watching movies on Netflix together and mourning the recent death of their parents. Hansel and Gretel were popular teachers in Colorado, and everyone generally liked the pair!

Now, the log-cabin Hansel found was predesigned and built specifically to offer young people a terrific weekend jaunt/getaway to spend in the forest and forget about the 'diagonal depression' of the big cities and busy towns of trafficked Colorado (USA). It had a terrific erected triangle-shaped glass window in the front and sat in the woods by the hills right by a suburban residential area near the town.

Late that first Friday night of their weekend getaway after the Colorado prom-event which they chaperoned, the handsome sibling-teacher pair (Hansel and Gretel) spotted a trio of 'Strangers' who approached their forest weekend-cabin wearing masks and wielding awful weapons-of-murder (knives, hatches, axe)!

The siblings decided to sneak out the back exit of the cabin and fled into the woods and into the nearby suburban town searching for someone to answer their door to allow them to immediately call the cops an inform them that three masked 'Strangers' were now pursuing them, armed with weapons-of-murder.

However, no one would open their door, and all Hansel and Gretel were armed with was a sharp steel butter-knife from the cabin they escaped from and a powerful UV-flashlight. The sibling-teachers spotted the masked-and-armed 'Strangers' trio walking towards them in the dead-of-night in that suburban residential area by the woods of the weekend-cabin. Hansel decided to flash the UV-light into the Stranges' eyes while they fled from them disorienting them somewhat as they ran diagonal-routes to flee from their line of blurred vision!

Hansel and Gretel ran all night and back into the woods as the sun started to rise, still fleeing from the relentless 'walking-pursuit' of these masked eerie trio of 'Strangers' who'd still been armed with their weapons-of-murder. Hansel and Gretel started thinking about the death of their parents in those woods as the sun rose and they contemplated the full scale of their Colorado lives, their young vital lives.

They found the Strangers' parked silver pickup-truck parked by a bridge in the woods and used their handy-dandy butter-knife to pry open the trunk and cut the engine wires to disable the truck before continuing to run as fast as they could and back towards the residential area(s) by the Colorado forest, not scared the 'Strangers' could now chase them by truck/vehicle.

HANSEL: Here's two bikes outside this residential condo-area; let's use them to ride to the police-station, sis.

GRETEL: Bro, I think we're getting away from these psychopaths...for goodness sake!

Hansel and Gretel managed to escape. They told the police what they'd endured in those Colorado woods and thanked God for their butter-knife and UV-flashlight which they cleverly used in their designed getaway that Friday in the USA. Two months later, the leader of the masked 'Strangers' (composed of two young women and a young man) was apprehended by Colorado police and linked to two bloody murders in Denver.
