Amlan/Marcus are blood-diamond infiltrations-agents with Interpol-relations visiting New England for a special soccer exhibition about modern media marketing dollars behind diamond-sales in North America and the United Kingdom.

AMLAN: We're studying traffic-net patterns in frequency of 'hits' on various Net-site companies for diamond-sales!

MARCUS: There'll be a special 'Harvard study' looking at intersections between sports-marketing and diamond merchandising.

Classes are in swing at Harvard (New England), and students are at the university-library looking at capitalism's broad history in sports-marketing as well as diamond markets in recent times and intersections created by modern convenience-media access to globalized consumerism!

A special 'Harvard madame' named Ayala is meeting with Amlan about this Harvard study regarding sports-markets and diamonds and wants to ask him to look at the Euro-activities of the iconic Spanish club-soccer team Valencia, which ironically/incidentally, is Amlan's favorite sports-club team to follow (in media).

AYALA: We'll be taking some photos for a fanzine feature in New England about soccer-museum symbols of media-journalism.

AMLAN: I shall make this 'Harvard madame' my special Fraulein/Witch for media-dissections of diamond-market corruption!

That weekend, Amlan/Ayala spend romantic time together during which he gets along greatly with her son from her previous marriage, Damian. He loves ice-hockey video games and soccer video-games, and Amlan/Damian spend lots of time playing the games together, as he learns about the nice juxtaposition of adult-youth activity in modern tech/toys.

DAMIAN: Oh, let's get some great food at Boston Market, Amlan.

AMLAN: Yes; this will be a nice outing for a New England convenient meal for us, Damian!

Amlan and Damian learn about the conveniences/amenities of consumerism in North America after playing the soccer/sports video-games and enjoying turkey at Boston Market (restaurant) and then appreciating the lighter-side of capitalism's hospitable face in modern civilization. This is quite relevant for these new capitalism-studies about traffic-gems.

AYALA: Why'd you buy Damian these Diadora sneakers, darling?
AMLAN: He needs to develop his appreciation/love of capitalism's more 'demo' face!

As Amlan/Ayala spend that Harvard (New England) time understanding the contours of civilization-capitalism designs and lifestyle impact, they start to bond with each other and gain a deeper understanding of what makes commercial underground corruption/intrigue (e.g., blood-diamond piracy) so symbolic of the 'trauma' of globalism's more 'doctored' face. This is what makes consumerism a phenomenon --- lifestyle can 'engender' academic disparity!
