==== Amlan is in Europe for the 2010 World Cup (soccer-tourney) and films the iconic rivalry-match between Spain (led by David Villa) and Portugal (led by Cristiano Ronaldo). Spain is a favorite-team to win the title, but rival-neighbor nation Portugal (led by Cristiano Ronaldo) has 'what it takes' to surmount the serious prominence of the Spaniards (led by David Villa). Amlan takes his Polaroid instant-camera to the Spain-Portugal matchup-game at the 2010 World Cup event and notes that Villa/Ronaldo comprise a rather 'dashing' rivalry axis and are more-or-less creating a smooth contention between their respective teams/countries on the field during the symbolic World Cup match. REPORTER: Spain and Portugal have been neighbors, but in this 2010 World Cup, they're brothers-in-arms. Amlan takes instant-photos of Villa trying to coordinate/choreography his struggling national team (Spain) past the rival hot-footed Portugal. Portugal has had great successes in recent years on the media level thanks to the great play of recent stand-out players, and Ronaldo doesn't want their neighbor-nation Spain to have an 'easy time' getting past them in this 2010 World Cup soccer-bracket. Amlan notes how Villa (Spain) composes himself in a calm-and-cool manner to keep his national-team afloat and steadily moving ahead as Ronaldo (Portugal) delivers his signature speed-footing runs/kicks, and Amlan wonders if these instant-photos (Polaroids!) will remind him later of the field-dynamics of the wondrous world-sport! REPORTER: Everyone thought Spain would coast, but Villa has had to make small-time cool captaincy, and Portugal is hot. Amlan takes his instant-photos and uses them to showcase some of the Euro-soccer intrigue in modern times by asking fans of the World Cup on the street how/what they think about this unusual modern rivalry in world-sports (Portugal-Spain). Fortunately for Amlan, who'd been cheering for Spain in this World Cup, captain-wonder David Villa has managed to 'ease' his team by the rival Portugal team, led by the wonder-kid Ronaldo. This was a game-for-the-albums, and Amlan shows soccer-fans on the street(s) why the mementos of this team-oriented striking field-sport revel a special 'face' of the 'leviathan' of choreographed dance. Is this the signpost of globalism dollars (rivalries)? ==== "Money is everything" (Ecclesiastes) ![]() © 2021 Abishai100 |
