Red Alien: Maze-of-Planet

A moon-station of convict-laborers is 'invaded' by a demonic alien being which requires maze-running...and wondrous distancing!

I dunno what it its about this 'Red Xenomorph' from the iconic Western sci-fi/horror-franchise Alien that has me writing this one extra piece, but it reminds me of David Fincher's iconic contribution to the series. Enjoy (signing off),

On a grey prison-and-mining station created by Weyland Company, a space-ship crash-landed and a human victim was found dead arrived on auto-pilot setting with her chest burst open and what seemed to be a small 'life-form' which scurried away and disappeared, and the station officers didn't know what to report from their gloomy moon-station.

The officers, Amlan/Marcus, are soldiers in fact but are simply tending to the Weyland moon-station as guardians and using their handy-dandy flame-guns to keep crowd-control and making sure all the furious convicts working as laborers don't go out of bounds!

AMLAN: What should we say to the laborers regarding this 'alien' that's scurrying around invisible in the tunnels?

MARCUS: We'll arm them with flame-guns and order them to run the maze in teams to hunt the fierce creature!

Their speech was anything but inspiring, and the convict-laborers simply decided they'd no choice but to comply after Amlan/Marcus left their presence in that moon-station tunnel 'conference' and gave them time to 'confer' amongst themselves to determine their idealized 'stance' of valor to track this strange alien-creature and simply kill it before it grew in size...and darkness.

The creature, later named the 'Red Xenomorph' (RX) alien by Weyland Company (an American conglomerate invested in moon-mining, space-exploration and alien-specimen 'documentation') revealed to the public in a special report after this horrific 'incident' on the moon-station that this insect-dragon like reptilian intelligent tracking predator 'creature' was ravenous, agile, quick, sure, hostile, and it possessed a haunting acidic saliva which was so volatile and reactive too that it caused a minor but scary 'explosion' upon contact with any exterior surface/body, rendering this 'dragon' alien a sort of demonic presence of unkillable stature.

AMLAN: We'll run the mazes in teams to lure this red alien into a hot-lead bath and shoot at it with our flame-guns.

MARCUS: Be sure you're working together to divide and run to stall it as it 'chooses' who to chase...to minimize casualties!

Of course, this 'red alien' was anything but a 'guest' of interior-civilization structure walls and chambers and tunnels and simply made its way to a macabre scene of acid and hellfire and bloody murdered over 30 of the convict-laborers, forcing the only medical-doctor on staff (Charles Dance) to work overtime to make holiness out of madness, and the Red Xenomorph was now full size adult, grown very rapidly from its infant-state when it crash-landed on the moon-station, and Dr. Dance simply had to clean up the Holocaust of claustrophobia.

AMLAN: The tunnel-maze running will effectively enable us to lure the 'dragon' to the lead-bath for gang-flame shooting!
MARCUS: For all sake, don't hesitate in running and dividing to give yourself strategic time, since it will 'know' the tunnels.

WEYLAND: The plan Amlan/Marcus enacted miraculously worked, and the Red Xenomorph was burned to ashes; we'll study it.

The final report Amlan and Marcus submitted to Weyland Company was that even if this 'Red Xenomorph' (RX) alien turns out to be 'study-symbolic' or worth pursuing for 'human' understanding, it should be treated as nothing less than an anti-civilization intelligent 'leviathan' of darkness...and despair. However, this small moon-station miracle did reveal one special thing during this heroic event --- humans love a good tune.
