====

Teresa moved to the suburbs after living in the busy city for some years after being born to her two Irish-Catholic parents in Philadelphia (USA). She was now 10 years-old and wanted to feel the sudden spirit-release of leaving behind the choking city and all it smoke and cars for the pleasant life in a cul-de-sac of pastel condos and spacious backyards. This was a much better experience for young Teresa than enduring the life of a city-dwelling infant, staring out the apartment window in Philly at countless smoking cars driving by and honking horns! The suburban condo Teresa's parents purchased was a nice two-level multi-windowed home with plenty of good floor-space to walk around and comfy low-level IKEA furniture which spaced out the rooms. However, the greatest boon was of course the incredible backyard, which was accessed through the back sliding-doors.

Teresa learned sadly she's the only young girl in the neighborhood, as the only other 'kids' in the small suburban area of New Jersey, where her parents moved to from the busy Philadelphia city that glorious year of transformation in the USA, were two family homes neighboring each other with two 14 year-old sons from each who'd become best-friends (Ralph and Ed). However, Teresa only waved sometimes with basic human cheer to Ralph/Ed as they drove by on their bikes in the summer. Teresa therefore remained alone as the single 'kid' in the suburban NJ neighborhood and opted to play alone for great stretches in the glorious backyard of her home, running through the sliding-doors, as her mother cooked dinner in the kitchen in the late afternoon. She'd sometimes have to wear her protective Coronavirus mask, despite the fact that she'd been completely vaccinated.

Teresa realized her backyard had more to offer than the could have ever conceived/imagined. For that summer, Teresa learned in the late afternoons while playing alone in the backyard of her NJ suburban condo-home, that there existed a small patch of hidden/secret pseudo-invisible 'fairy-creatures' (humanoid tiny flying spirit-nymphs with the ability t0 spread good feelings and mystical curiosity about existence or life itself!) living beneath the first layers of the backyard-ground in her suburban home! Teresa learned each fairy had a special gift or power and was sharing this magic with Teresa as she discovered the simple joys of becoming fascinated by life itself after leaving the busy city. She decided she'd keep the fairy-life a secret to herself and use it only to learn about what comprised sanity and spiritual vitality, before she'd grow up too fast, and the fairies would simply/magically 'disappear' back into that proverbial 'hole' of discovery from which they emerged originally to 'delight' the distanced Teresa that summer.
