The famed 'Balto Bros.' perform a diamond-heist from an LA bank with a signature for media-detention.

Welcome to the City of Angels (L.A.) where a pair of diamond-thieves seek to perform a daring heist of a safe-box holding a set of very valued gems from Sierra Leone said to be 'blood-diamonds' linked to the modern corruption of the diamond market in North America, which is why this tale in LA is colored by a sour-note of death-wishes.

The two diamond-thieves are Amlan/Marcus who call themselves the Balto Brothers ('BB'), and they want to steal the blood-diamonds from the LA bank safe-box belonging to the corrupt Western diamond-baron/investor Dillinger.

AMLAN: We visit a regular new-era speakeasy in Angeles catering to an old-world fashion clientele.

MARCUS: Everyone dressed in vintage style fashions, and we think of why this city is so delightful.

DILLINGER: If anyone dares to try to steal my blood-diamonds from my bank safe-box, I'll cut their hands off their arms.

The bank the two thieves in LA ('Balto Brothers') are seeking to steal is an iconic American bank where the safe-boxes are not particularly loud or conspicuous, enabling Dillinger to make his storage a rather discreet and media-friendly activity, but BB (Balto Brothers) discovered this blood-diamond secret from a bank employee at the LA speakeasy/nightclub.

INTERPOL: Blood-diamond corruption today threatens the world-diamond exchange and makes for terrorism woe.

AMLAN: I've been a diamond-aficionado and thief for some time now, and Marcus is the only guy I trust for this Dillinger heist.

MARCUS: We'll be walking into the bank in Angeles in special get-up and holding water-guns filled with acid (with cameras!).

They're recording everything they say during the heist and putting the voice-recording on a vintage tape to mail to Dillinger after the blood-diamond bank robbery is achieves in Los Angeles (USA). Can they achieve this Robin Hood task?

BANK MANAGER: Business that day was customary; we didn't expect anything like these Balto Bros. from hell.

LAPD: No worry; we've assigned one of our best female detectives to catch these blood-diamond media mongers, Starling.

LA TIMES (Newspaper): The Balto Brothers walked in wearing masks, with water-guns, cameras, recordings; stole $20M gems.

The whole heist was done without any shooting, since the Balto Brothers scared all the customers at the LA bank that heist-day into silence/obedience with their 'acid-guns' (water-guns filled with acid!) as well as the manager/guardsmen and instructed everyone to 'be cool' since this media-broadcast special/unique Angeles Dillinger Heist would be considered a 'hallmark' in modern blood-diamond (piracy-monitor) lore, and it would remind people why LA is considered so perfectly...dreamy.
