GothamA Story by Abishai100Can Gotham City (USA) endure forms of insane evil in modern fields, with the help of two masked vigilante-heroes?
A toast to DC Comics' Gotham City and why it represents modern socialized distancing from d. Thanks for reading (signing off),

==== The city of Gotham (USA) has become darkened by the evil minds of the criminally-insane bent on anarchy and organized exploitation and blood-diamond smuggling and general urban gloom, but can a pair of vigilante-heroes rise to the challenge of erecting a salvageable form of civilization view? ![]() The city of Gotham is plagued by invisible crimes carried on by masked weirdos and hellraisers bent on making darkness out of daylight and using corruption-rings to create justified images of traffic chaos and undetectable wrath, and meanwhile, the criminals gain in social proportion while exposure/prosecution seems challenging, and all this makes for a generally claustrophobic traffic energy. ![]() The two masked vigilante-heroes are, in fact, Batman and Robin (B&R). These two dastardly crime-fighters have only one focus of imagination and view in mind --- to use underground infiltration tactics (e.g., blood-diamond bank heists of corrupt-baron safe-boxes, tranquilizer-dart assaults on street-gangs employed by powerful drug-emperors, incarceration of toxic homegrown terrorists inside Arkham Asylum, etc.) to destroy evil! Batman/Robin are the real-life heroes in Gotham City (USA) who do what normal police simply fail to do --- present themselves as masked/costumed 'ninjas' of urban destiny. ![]() BATMAN: We use blinding light-guns, sometimes water-guns, filled with acid or loaded with sedative-pellets! ROBIN: These 'toys' help us approach the hoodlums of Gotham with a certain confidence of street-flair. ![]() Meanwhile, the Gotham Globe (newspaper) reports that Batman/Robin are doing everything they can in this 'mad city' to bring down crime and insanity and anarchy while new faces of evil/darkness rise to activity, such as the grotesquely fashionable Penguin, a sewer-dwelling crime-master. This is modern journalism, really. ![]() BATMAN: We've provided the Gotham Museum with new artworks from around the globe representing urban paranoia! ROBIN: Yes, these paintings will remind visitors/patrons why urban-imagination can certainly feel...tangible. ![]() These 'faces' of criminal-insanity in darkened Gotham (USA) include the Joker, Emilia Zole, Riddler, and the Owl-Clan. They do everything but pray. They destroy cop-cars, plant toxins in water-fountains, smuggle blood-diamonds from Africa, scramble Internet functions, design exploitation parties, and generally destroy urban civics. There's no picnic even in prisons in a city of such mad humans. ![]() BATMAN: We've successfully managed to insert multiple criminally-insane 'demons' in Gotham's Arkham Asylum. ROBIN: This center for 'treatment' offers sedation/lithium options for addressing complete antisocial facial consciousness. ![]() GOTHAM GLOBE (Newspaper): It seems Batman/Robin have made Arkham a success, with criminals/patients exposed/kept! ![]() Batman/Robin are now contending with a new scheme for the helmeted villain Mr. Freeze and his team-mates who've kidnapped the Gotham mayor and threaten to plant explosives in the city soccer-league field, where citizens gather on Friday evenings to enjoy some form of socialized distancing from hell. The news-stories surfacing of this kidnapping has Batman/Robin worried that this evil/insane 'Mr. Freeze' will put a 'cap' on urban soccer dreams. ![]() GOTHAM GLOBE (Newspaper): Well, Batman/Robin save-the-day again, and soccer-games on Friday in Gotham return. ![]() Do you think Batman/Robin are huge soccer fans? Do you think they 'have what it takes' to convert energy of crime into energy of play? Can this fair but challenged city of Gotham (USA) find the necessary goodness to destroy forms of modern depression? Maybe what we all need is Friday-night-soccer! ==== "Money is everything" (Ecclesiastes) © 2021 Abishai100 |
