Peter Weyland gave his media speech about the new space-exploration mission to uncharted faraway planet LV-223 from which an intelligent 'alien' communication signal was detected. He seemed very excited to report that a 'flock' of daring soldiers/explorers were selected to board the USS Sulaco light-speed ship to fly to the planet, offering his company a terrific media-window into the future.

WEYLAND: This will be the vanguard of space-exploration with a fruitful/hopeful acquisition of an alien contact experience.

One of the crew-members of the Sulaco flight to LV-223 would be a man named Ash, and Weyland disclosed to the crew-members that Ash was actually/secretly an enhanced 'android' robot-human (with skin and flesh covering) who'd accompany them on the mission as the science-recording 'officer' for the Company.

ASH: We have digital imagery of the planet we're flying to, and all crew-members should familiarize themselves with these.

When the crew landed on the Sulaco and were told they'd have to trek around the eerie planet, they'd been given special Weyland hand-cannon guns capable of shooting fire, ice, lasers, and an electric-shocking current. These guns would surely enable the human explorers to engage with any potentially 'hostile' alien life-form.

The crew was 2 co-captains (Amlan and Marcus), Ash the android and scientist, and 3 women (Isa, Karen, Danielle) and 3 men (Robert, Ishmael, Toni), all capable of great fighting if needs be and shooting and they'd also been trained to be emissaries of the human race.

WEYLAND: Your Sulaco spaceship is the finest ever made, and it will take you to this mysterious planet at light-speed.

The two co-captains of the Sulaco mission to LV-223 are Amlan and Marcus who're excellent ship-pilots as well as fighting commanders/killers. If needs be, these otherwise nerdy looking Weyland fellows are quite good at leadership and are able to muster up courage when some of the crew express 'doubts' about this human species expedition!

AMLAN: The Sulaco has all the living amenities to make it feel like a flying gymnasium or habitat, eh?
MARCUS: The only thing concerning me is an 'evil alien' and not the facilities on this expensive Weyland boat, friend.

When they arrive and trek across the uncharted planet, they spot an underground cave-labyrinth of some kind with many inner-rooms and divide up to search/report. Karen spots a very unusual egg-laying organic spore-filled room in which there're dozens of what seem to be alien lifeform 'eggs' or 'pods' ready to burst open and spring forth new tiny alien creatures. She considered shooting the eggs before radioing her co-captains (Amlan/Marcus).

However, these cave-eggs did indeed burst open and tiny spider-like reptile-shaped 'aliens' scurried out and began to grow into adult-size very rapidly, frightening the human explorers on this strange Sulaco mission to LV-223. The 'red alien' in full adult form was a reptilian-dragon like creature of large size and elongated head and sharp claws/teeth, fierce intelligence and trekking/speed and acidic/explosive saliva! Amlan/Marcus radioed Weyland and nicknamed this evil alien the Red Xenomorph (RX).

REPORT: The 'Red Xenomorph' fights on this strange planet with its conquered/subdued alien-cousin the Black Xenomorph.

After this RX (Red Xenomorph) alien bloody murders half the crew, co-captains Amlan/Marcus flee back with survivors to the landed Sulaco and take-off. They learn one RX-alien had sneaked onto the Sulaco and exploded the Weyland android crew-member (Ash); Amlan shoots the Xenomorph in the eyes before Marcus freezes it with an ice-spray and Ishmael shatters its body to pieces with lasers. The crew then take the 'enduring' but decapitated android crew-man Ash to an inquiry table, replug him in and demand to know what the hell they came to this evil planet for and if Weyland knew the alien on this planet was certainly hostile. Ash whispers, "You're all witnesses, really...Weyland's known for some time now this 'Xenomorph' is a potential species murderer, and we simply wanted 'proof' for our report that humans are a peaceful species in comparison...making you fine but sad men/women of this Sulaco mission...simply expendable...that's all."

WEYLAND: We've no doubt the record retrieved from this planet will offer human scientists years of design/life-study!

AMLAN: Did you know the Company's distributing 'Red Xenomorph' dolls for Christmas for capital marketing, man?
MARCUS: I want to forget that 'dragon' entirely; it destroyed our crew; maybe these 'dolls' will prove to be medicine.
