A cyber-painting of what makes yesteryear fanfare of football video-games reminiscent of game-theory!

"
One more quick football short in lieu of my upcoming final chapter of my NFL fanfiction (Super Bowl/playoff) series, inspired by Any Given Sunday and The Wizard. Enjoy!

Two buddies from Princeton decided to reunite and play some Tecmo Super Bowl video-games against each other. We all know Tecmo was the 'icon' of American football cyber-entertainment (video-games) before the inception of the immaculate Madden franchise. Well, these two Princeton-pals used to play Tecmo when they were little boys living in New England, and now they're grown and decide to perform a little reminiscence, before they got their Ivy League degrees and got married and had children and parted ways. They rented a snowy cabin in the Poconos and played a series of Tecmo football video-games featuring iconic rivalry-games between the Seattle Seahawks and Green Bay Packers. These two Princeton-pals knew that the Seahawks and Packers comprised an old-era rivalry now long-forgotten, which is what they resurrected with Tecmo.

The two pals, Evans and Topol, knew that this Seahawks-Packers rivalry in Tecmo would be the perfect walk back memory-lane, and so they played endless games that game in their cabin in the Poconos, with their classic Nintendo wired to their rented cabin-plasma TV. They knew that when they were young, their Seahawks-Packers games were adventurous and symbolic and these adult-aged reminiscence games between Seahawks-Packers would reveal a special recollection of what made this unusual Tecmo-rivalry indicative of football designs of great teamwork flow. The Packers, great throwing team, against the Seahawks, a great all-around/balanced team, would be part of some terrific Pocono video-games.

EVANS: Maybe we're just video-game nerds!
TOPOL: Well, Tecmo is way better than Madden, Evans.

Were these two Princeton-pals 'visionaries' of a time forgotten by American football media-fans? Remember that early 'golden age' of video-games when Tecmo football was likened to youthful fascination with the 'yoga' of football-culture? This was long before the Madden empire was born in the USA! Evans/Topol knew their Poconos Seahawks-Packers Tecmo football games would reveal something truly special about the Seattle Seahawks, a team which never truly broke into greatness with a few minor exceptions (e.g., Steve Largent, Matt Hasselbeck eras) but were ingrained into the simply dazzling digital simplicity of offense-run American football grid-patterns. They'd become 'hallmarks' of cyber-dancing. Perhaps what Evans/Topol saw was the 'ghost' of Seahawks draw, imprinted onto the intuitive design of real-world American football offense-defense dossiers.
