==== In the cool evenings at Boston Park, a clan of 'Strangers' roamed sometimes in masks/costumes and wielding nifty toy guns alongside their mechanical robot-reindeer 'pal' named Mister Palermo. ![]() Now, it's known these 'uncanny' Strangers were something like street-artists or 'maudlin-thespians' of a new walking-pedestrian Boston (New England) multicultural 'street aesthetic' and parading various diamond-capitalism street-theater shows but had no official/formal ties to any underground youth/urban gangs! ![]() STRANGERS: The toy guns we carry reflect our sociocultural 'fascination' with American disco. ![]() Their mechanical A.I.-robot reindeer ally-pal was Mister Palermo, and he could/would talk liberally about the majesty of American democracy and pluralism life in New England (Boston). This 'creature' was designed at the prestigious sci-tech university in Boston, and he thought of himself as the demi-god of this uncanny park-clan known as the Strangers. ![]() STRANGERS: The 'presence' we offer dispels the natural urban fears in this post-9/11 era regarding homegrown anarchy. ![]() The Strangers distributed colored graffiti/art posters and prints with re-presentations of the lovely female ladies of their special New England clan, and these women of the knights called themselves the Misfits, because they loved offbeat aesthetics and the design of American capitalism. ![]() STRANGERS: Would you know if you saw one of us in the streets performing some theater about capitalism-tubes? ![]() Heck, you might even 'spot' the Strangers and their pal Mister Palermo at the park at night but other members, unmasked or the ladies (Misfits) in one of the iconic/lovely Boston cafes where people met to enjoy French-vanilla and capitalism storyboarding! ![]() STRANGERS: What sets Boston apart is the traffic-securities they offer for amenities like bread-and-butter with coffee. ![]() The Strangers would sometimes showcase during their street-theater special tech-toys like CD-boxes which re-presented their defense of capitalism design and the free-market rhetoric of choice-driven consumerism. This was like RadioShack intersecting with Pee-Wee's Playhouse (as one Boston writer commented in the Herald-cyber!). ![]() POLICEWOMAN: We're certain these 'Strangers' may either be Interpol-relations (blood-diamond work) or veiled pirates. ![]() The Misfits of the Strangers sometimes drove awesome red scooters around in Boston (New England) by day, since some of them were actually/ironically school-teachers managing the brand-new boarding-school right outside Boston and wished to 'showcase' the fineries of traffic machinery for the sake of American pride. Were these 'folks' modern-day Beatniks? ![]() STRANGERS: Our ties to the prestigious sci-tech university in New England (Boston) affords us special dollars! ![]() Can dollar-dreams intersect with team-oriented urban pageantry that's completely untied to any past-era problem of street-gang crime? Were these uncanny 'Strangers/Misfits' ideally the new Beatniks offering a new 'brand' of walking daydreams? Would capitalism-rhetoric benefit from such street theater in this post-9/11 era, or would capitalism-cynicism seep into the halls of theater/community even in this 'inventive' age of people-driven diaries? ==== "Money is everything" (Ecclesiastes) © 2022 Abishai100 |
