A parody-letter about the deformity of capitalism-depression and irony of serendipity found in everyday design.

I have these terrific Diadora sneakers which drew me back to the same Boston mall where I purchased them last summer.

I otherwise despise shopping and going to the mall but on this occasion, I sincerely believed the mall called me back with a strange magical voice in my head reminding me why I was so appreciative of the Diadoras I found/bought last summer, and I wanted to find yet another item or experience of real magic in this arena of consumerism!

I'm otherwise a computer nerd who studies varies algorithms for virus-research, and I have little interest in traffic photojournalism for mall-walking our tourism journals. However, something in this nerd drew me back to that Boston mall, and maybe it was because I was destined to be meditating on capitalism.

I found that magical thing! It was this amazing random woman who looked like a movie-star, sitting in a clothing store in that awesome Boston mall, right outside the fitting-room, waiting to go in and try on a fur coat or something, and I knew just then that I had a new destiny --- to follow her around wherever she went.

I followed this girl around everywhere in that mall, and she's like this 20-something year-old gorgeous American lady, maybe the Woman in Green or Lady in Red or maybe the Harlot of Babylon, since it really didn't matter to me. I had to follow her around and find out just what her 'deal' was and I'd been drawn into the magic of consumerism-traffic and the accidental tourists you'd find in a place like this iconic/symbolic Boston mall!

Then, as I began to follow around this American beauty, whom I named 'Marla' (in my head), as she was walking to the water-fountain and was somewhat alone with no one else around really, she began to vanish! I yelled to her, "Hey, you're disappearing (Marla)!" She turned to me and smiled and said, "Shhh...I'm an alien from Venus...keep your encounter a secret." We made love and then she disappeared forever, and I knew then she returned to Venus. I rented a movie on RedBox that I thought reflected this incredible mall adventure.

I decided to return to that same magic-mall (New England) and purchased an amazing nifty little cheerleader doll (Action-Figure) named Kayla, and it not only reminded me of the Venus-lady (Marla) but it also suggested to me that the real adventure of capitalism imagination was the 'possibility' of finding something absolutely...cute.

I started buying soccer video-games and soldier action-dolls from that same New England (Boston) mall and started a cyber-journal titled Blood Diamond (for my exposition on the face of commercial dancing). I'd become a dreamer.

"Capitalism won't swallow us...we'll swallow it" (Chuck Palahniuk).
