Cemetery-Money: The Dark WeddingA Story by Abishai100A strange romance-tale comprises a notion of civilization contemplation of what separates idealism...from certainty!
A very offbeat romance-tale, inspired loosely by So I Married an Axe Murderer.

==== Two Algerian-Americans, Amlan Satan and Esha Rai, moved to Boston (New England) and grew up with their parents in separate houses in the same Boston community and frequented the local cemetery which was house to only children in the Boston area tragically killed or deceased by illness or suicide. Amlan/Esha would visit this cemetery and take notes and make artworks about the 'life-spirit' of those who'd been housed in that sacred/special New England cemetery! ![]() When the lovely love-birds grew up and attended Dartmouth College (New Hampshire) together, they'd decided to get married and start a family, but they decided to move back to Boston after graduation and began work managing that special/sacred Boston (New England) cemetery together as 'personnel' of the spiritual mission/operation. What was once their childhood art-visits became their adult-life mission-for-work, perhaps also evoking their youthful thoughts/musings//daydreams about the nature or quality of a wedding/love borne out of the strange 'magic' of memory. ![]() AMLAN: We're making a terrific living managing this children's cemetery, darling! ESHA: It's like we're the perfect immigrant wedding-couple of occupation of great Boston spirituality, no? ![]() The problem was, this was no glorious or romantic job. Amlan/Esha had both converted to Catholicism since moving to the West (from politically-complex Algeria!), and their shared faith gave them a certain magical respect for the deceased/killed youngsters who'd been laid in that special/sacred Boston cemetery, but would this strange occupation forge in this special immigrant couple (from politically-complex Algeria!) a 'real' sense of dance? ==== "Money is everything" (Ecclesiastes) © 2022 Abishai100 |
