Traffic: Dragon(s)A Story by Abishai100Two 'characters' on differing sides of the track on the modern drug war are part of this tale of city destiny.
An opus on the meditation of narcotics-heroics, inspired by the very symbolic Western/American film Traffic (Michael Douglas). Thanks so much for reading,

==== This is a tale of two cities, and the first city is Los Angeles (California, USA), a place of great traffic and diamond-piracy and narcotics intrigue, drawing in an Interpol-relations undercover agent with FBI ties named Stan Cruise. He thinks the beloved American 'City of Angels' has become a den for the unchecked distribution of addictive substance(s). ![]() STAN CRUISE: If I have to use the media, or the public, or the audience, to send my message of dare-control, then so be it! ![]() Upon the huge media-exposed 'seizure' of a border-control narcotics seizure by the famous LAPD, Stan Cruise announced his intent to wander around the 'City of Angels' as a suited 'pedestrian' armed with a handgun and simply waiting to gun-down the minions of the drug-cartel lord Ramires and/or Ramires himself, convinced that he's behind the huge shipment seized on national TV. ![]() AMERICAN NEWSPAPER: To believe narcotics is simply a 'sea' of normalized intrigue is to downplay the 'agents' of diligence. ![]() We know this 'war on drugs' has been an ailment in Western civilization and globally for some time now, and modern diamond-piracy further 'sullying' urban underworld crime-syndicate labyrinths/profiteerism only makes for more 'prerequisites' for the thorough analysis of this civilization matrix paranoia! ![]() Fortunately, for folks on the bright-side of the tracks like the valiant Stan Cruise, there's a 'host' of modern-era LAPD heroes like Officer Shelbye O'Meara who work to resolve the hidden/invisible dilemma of narcotics street-traffic wed to other 'markets' like black market gun-sales and blood-diamonds. ![]() Now, we flip to the other side of the tracks in this 'tale of two cities' that brings us to the bordertown of Tijuana (Mexico), where immigration 'passions' and contraband smuggling has engendered a new-gen traffic of profiteers/pirates, making this otherwise tourism-fabled city in North America yet another 'den' for the darkside of civilization folklore. ![]() A valiant Algerian-Mexican-American citizen detective-cop named Amlan Satan has been working on a case involving drive-by shootings in Tijuana which he believes is 'ordered' by the Mexican drug-cartel lord Obregon who may be seeking to 'seize' control of the social conversations surrounding tourism in Tijuana. Satan (Amlan) thinks this Obregon bad-guy wants to take control of Tijuana the same way Al Capone gripped Prohibition-era Chicago (1920s)! ![]() AMLAN SATAN: I think that the biggest concern for an immigration-traffic city like Tijuana is the security for youths. ![]() Detective Satan's been working on the infamous 'Obregon case-study' for over 2 years, having made several arrests of drug-runners and shipments coming in from the other side of the tracks and through coastal pirates and through immigration anarchy profiteers. Many consider Amlan Satan Mexico's answer to the southern tip of the continental drug war, and he's a real 'nerd' of commercial monitor(s). ![]() AMLAN SATAN: I sometimes carry a toy water-rifle filled with hot acid, using it to shoot tires of drug-vans for a dark note. ![]() Now, Detective Amlan Satan is something like the Mexican 'complement' of LA's valiant Stan Cruise, who's more like a 'mercenary' of the American dreamscape. Satan, on the other hand, wanders around Tijuana, the 'doomed' bordertown, sometimes disguised as a drug-running 'minion' of the Obregon 'family' while operating to subvert any kind of narcotics traffic he sees threatening the media-reporting on modern continental diaries. ![]() NORTH AMERICAN JOURNAL: We think Satan/Cruise are like Green Lantern and Green Arrow in this war on drugs and dollars. ![]() As underground folklore rises surrounding the 'invisible' hand(s) of LA's Stan Cruise and Mexico's Amlan Satan, comic book sales of the Lantern-Arrow issues featuring drug-issue storylines soar in North America. Maybe there's a 'dash' of hope in all this modern civilization hellfire after all, right? ![]() STAN CRUISE: When there's no drugs in the American schoolyard, our work is done...and forever done. ![]() Who'll win this dark 'War on Drugs' --- the police/detectives of the bad-guys? Who'll carry the torches/gems of light and news in this new era of commerce-driven underworld challenges and complexities? For those who 'believe' in smalltime heroes like Satan/Cruise, this is almost like a 'playground' for inventive democracy. ![]() “We cannot incarcerate ourselves out of addiction. Addiction is a medical crisis that when it comes to nonviolent offender warrants medical interventions, not incarceration. Decades later, data unequivocally illustrates that this war has been a massive failure. It has not only failed to reduce violent crime, but arrest rates throughout its tenure have continuously ascended even when crime rates have descended" (Dominique DuBois Gilliard). ==== "Money is everything" (Ecclesiastes) © 2022 Abishai100 |
