NeoA Story by Abishai100Portrait-piece of an American cyber-artist who'd illuminate the special contours of modern democracy (and drivers!).
A story about writing and identity, inspired loosely by The Dark Half (Stephen King).
----
==== By daylight-hours, the New England bureaucrat Amlan Satan was a successful baseball-card merchant, offering cyber-sales of collected valuables from around the continent and becoming prominent as a modern-day 'Lee Iacocca' of the cards-world. However, by night, he'd been the net-blogging radical known as Neo and made write-ups of why baseball/cards would save the modern civilization from the 'anathema' of antisocial/anti-capitalism terrorism! In fact, Neo'd become the fanzine equivalent of Thomas Nast or Edward Abbey, and his readers thought his creative ideas about eBay/commerce affecting governance daydreams were considered rather sharp. He decided to write a cyber-novel called American Terrorist. ---- He told his readers the secret to double-identity in forging a cyber-alias for real creative-works for American psyche was in the access of the deep psychic intuition of the traffic geometry. According to 'Neo' (Amlan Satan), to be a 'James Bond' of the magazine society, you'd need to 'think' like a double-agent or 'double-person' of American critique. For Neo, the convenience(s) of the modern Net (cyber) had afforded him the special 'bike' for great sociocultural dissection(s). In fact, his readers considered him/Neo the great muscular expressionist of free-speech driven exploratory sociopolitical criticism. He'd been easy-to-read...and easy-to-like. However, he's suddenly targeted by a raged 'fan' who considers him a heretic in the United States. ---- Two years later, this same stalking fanatic assassinated the 'great Neo' in New England (Boston) and slandered him on the Net, claiming he'd been a secret member of the rogue-IRA and was requiring absolute cultural banishment. However, his loyal readers would always consider Amlan Satan, and his double-identity of Neo, as the idealized/ideal caricature of the 'need' for the oral tradition of political doubt(s). One might wonder if Neo were still alive, would he start to disclose more about the strange and perhaps deep nature of his own divided psyche, his double-identity as Amlan/Neo, perhaps fashioned out of a modern New England 'design' of complete socialized distancing. ---- ==== "Money is everything" (Ecclesiastes) ---- ![]() © 2022 Abishai100 |
