Arrow/Canary: American Distant

Arrow/Canary: American Distant

A Story by Abishai100
"

A journalism-comics 'diorama' about the sheer socialized 'complexity' of ideology-driven social values in hip youth-demos.

"
An homage to classical romance-storytelling in comics (DC Comics). Enjoy (and thanks so much for reading!),

We only saw each other for a short while, but the thing to be determined/dissected was the complex face of finite time, of shared time with increments of joy, set within a 'super-set' of predetermined loss. Would this ever feel like a high-school prom?

That's what Arrow/Canary felt they had as they comprised a special vigilantism-duo and robbed blood-diamond(s) from the minerals-science lab at the prestigious Salk Institute, replacing the 'conflict-zone' gems with rubber animals. They wrote an editorial about the Salk in which they claimed, "American capitalism is wed to science(s) and doctorate(s)!"

They released a cyber-blog 'Saturday-night-special' about the socialized distancing media-era of consumerism 'trophies' (collected as image-souvenirs from bygone eras of commerce/industrialization!) such as the iconic/flowery Diadora running-sneaker/shoes!

ARROW: We're like a James Bond and Bond-girl team of vigilance-prayers for modernism, eh?
CANARY: There's nothing as 'sweet' as sweet vindication through brain-decision(s).

They won fortunes and honor(s), and they'd been considered for the first-ever Mr. and Mrs. Smith prize at Salk, a stepping-stone to a noble/Nobel career in the civilization arts.

ARROW: Nothing is valued in this world/life of achievement(s) without my pearl-of-the-darkness.
