City of Angels: Bowl Detective(s)A Story by Abishai100Puck is a vigilante in the 'City of Angels' (LA) who must deliver a miracle-cure to post-Bowl street chaos prompting modern distance.
Alright, a Rams post-Bowl street 'scene' fiction-work to sign off with, inspired by Escape from L.A. (Kurt Russell). Thanks so much for reading,
DISCLAIMER: I have no official ties to the team mentioned in this work-of-fiction and intend this only to be a tale of urban design. ----
==== The stage was set for the Super Bowl in Los Angeles (California) where the aspiring Rams of LA hoped to capture a championship-ring near their hometown, and it'd be the first time the Rams would play a Super Bowl near LA since the Ferragamo-era of the 1970s, when they lost to Terry Bradshaw's Steelers. This time however, the Matthew Stafford led fresh-look new-gen Rams wanted a title in their hometown, against their rivals, the Bengals of Cincinnati, arguably equally matched. Everyone wanted to see the Big Show. ![]() REPORTER: Stafford's Rams have pulled off a tight-gamer spectacle, downing the Bengals late and capturing a fiery trophy! ![]() After the victory was completed, the triumphant Rams were preparing for their victory parade in Disneyland, California. However, the very night of the Super Bowl win in California, crowds of Rams fans flocked to the streets in a showcasing of pure fanfare-driven (albeit insane!) anarchy. There was some reported acts of criminality but mostly the urban street-scene was one of pure Los Angeles madness, authentic/genuine. Is this American dancing? ![]() We all remember the horror-show of 9/11, when anti-Western terrorists destroyed the global-commerce symbolic World Trade Center (NYC) by crashing passenger airplanes into the skyscraper(s)! We all want to forget such urban vertigo, don't we? This is not what we want for LA after the Rams' title was recorded. ![]() Puck is an LA vigilante scouring the city streets of LA after the Super Bowl victory, on the very-same night of the great legendary win. Ferragamo's Rams loss is avenged. The new-gen Rams are back on top since the days of Kurt Warner (2000). This is pure anarchy in LA after this Super Bowl achievement, however. Puck is driving around in his engine-enhanced Saab turbo in mask/gear and wielding two toy water-pistols inserted with a thin glass tube in the shooting-piston and loaded with hot acid. He's a real vigilante now in the City of Angels. ![]() PUCK: I'm steaming down the city streets of Los Angeles in my car and playing my boombox (classic-music) to make calm! ![]() He's loaded his water-guns with acid so he can roll down his windows and shoot/deflate the tires of speeding vehicles rolling with insane madness down the streets after the Super Bowl win, late-at-night. This shouldn't escalate into the Los Angeles Race Riots of 1992, which is why our beloved vigilante Puck in the proverbial City of Angels is 'divine' tonight! ![]() PUCK: I'm also throwing toy diamonds (fakes/replicas) out my window(s) to the mob/cars on the road(s) to make dialogue! ![]() There's nothing 'sacred' about urban anarchy, regardless of the form/shape it may take, even if comes in the form of harmless riotous Rams-fans flocking and driving and raging late-at-night after the Super Bowl victory near their hometown. It's rare that a football-team may win the Super Bowl near their hometown, and this LA triumph brings forth the 'presence' of the mythic blue-bonze 'dragon' of mischief. Fortunately, our valiant City of Angels 'vigilante' Puck was there waiting for such a 'dreamscape' creature! ![]() PUCK: The City of Angels has been tranquilized, and there's no permanent 'damage' and future's bright for Disney-parade. ![]() Who knew broadcast-era sports would deliver such a 'punch' for the prophetic American 'City of Angels' simply after a major sporting event? The Super Bowl is the biggest media-event in North America, but do we really need a man like Puck to keep the peace and slay the dragon(s) of anarchy? One thing's for certain --- LA shall dream sanely again...of yet another hometown dollar. ==== "Money is everything" (Ecclesiastes) © 2022 Abishai100 |
