Free-Agency (Football): The Jaded Policewomen

Free-Agency (Football): The Jaded Policewomen

A Story by Abishai100
"

Detroit 'sport-city' is troubled by sports issues, and a hero and a policewoman might intersect and illuminate cool dawn.

"
A sports-corruption 'parody' of sorts inspired by Jerry Maguire (Tom Cruise). Enjoy (signing off),

American football had become a symbol of media-markets and modern social distances regarding real dollars and cheering of culture-specific 'diadems' regarding customs-arrangement.

However, the modern 'dilemma' of profit-driven 'free-agency' labor in American football had created much social angst/dialogue surrounding the corruption of sports imagination as it pertained to honorable espousing of talents and team-spirits, reflected in various modern films re-presenting this fear about national culture and sports-bias.

Detroit was no different nor immune from this culture dilemma of free-agency profit-motive cynicism (or narcissism!). This created new kinds of fanatics in America who wanted to use terrorism to denounce profit-motive based social imaginations in the US cities like Detroit, where celebrated teams like the Lions captured real traffic daydreams and urban life.

When the football-draft rolled around, everyone talked about who'd be roaming around the sports-market pools as 'free-agents' looking for profit-driven sports successes and who'd be champions of traditional meritocracy-based ads. It was all a media-trumpet and anyone's game.

An underground gang called Black Mask (Detroit) targeted sports-executives who'd been behind all this free-agency profit-corruption paranoia and created a series of attacks on city targets and police, vowing never to pledge allegiance to urban media/commerce.

Free-agency had destroyed the 'mystique' of team-spirit in American football in the views of many of these fanatics or homegrown psychos who 'despised' the tone(s) of sports-market piracy and wished to use this sullying as an antisocial platform for un-American arguments and editorials.

Nevertheless, the 'angels' of broadcast-era American football, the iconic lovely 'cheerleaders' of the field, continued to espouse the patriotism behind reliable sportsmanship despite all this incendiary talk about profit-driven ambition(s).

A special undercover detective named Shadow's assigned to protect the Lions cheerleader(s) of fabled/troubled Detroit (USA) who'd been threatened by critics and fanatics furious about free-agency 'corruption' in American football, requiring this modern-day 'equalizer' of dialogue to create real antidotes to the social grudge. Shadow hid Lions cheerleaders in his motel safe-rooms to protect them from the advance of fanatical psychos who sought to use these football 'angels' in messages about raw anarchy. Shadow had become a diplomat of sport diplomacy and medicine.

A jaded Detroit city policewoman named Sandy had been pulling-over speeding cars in the troubled city and interrogating the driver(s), seeing if they'd been 'prompted' for road-rage and wanton speeding because of private sports-angst surrounding media dirt. She'd ask these reckless drivers (who may be potential psychos!), "Are you a Lions football fan, sir/miss?"

SHADOW: I wasn't speeding, policewoman!
SANDY: Are you a Lions fan (by chance), driver?
SHADOW: I'm working covertly to protect a Lions cheerleader, officer!
SANDY: How am I supposed to believe such a claim, driver?
SHADOW: Face it --- you hope my claim is verifiable!
SANDY: Are you suggesting I'm swayed by comforting optimism, driver?
SHADOW: You need to feel American to understand --- I'm a cheerleader's guardian, officer.
SANDY: If I wasn't so jaded about sports-culture, I might believe you're a 'real' deliverance.
