Atlantic City: Ghost of the Door(s)

Atlantic City: Ghost of the Door(s)

A Story by Abishai100
"

A real-life James Bond dude in Atlantic City must outshine a blood-diamond baron (Nicholson) by being a 'Gambit' of design(s).

"
A short inspired by Atlantic City (Burt Lancaster).

Atlantic City is a place of great commercial traffic, since it's the East Coast rendition of Las Vegas, the casino-resorting nexus of Western civilization! It's the place where a certain man of flair, a real-life James Bond character, is plotting to outwit a special blood-diamond baron named Nicholson.

This James Bond is Amlan Satan (aka, 'Storm-Shadow') who's a huge fan of the Marvel Comics mutant antihero character Gambit, a slick and under-appreciated affable man of flair and danger(s) who throws explosive playing-cards (poker, etc.) and wields a sharp baton for combat and is quite cunning.

Amlan Satan ('Storm-Shadow') has been linked in the modern underground to multiple heists/raids of baron blood-diamond safe-boxes from banks in British Columbia and Northern Ireland.

Storm-Shadow (Amlan Satan) loves the character of Gambit and what it re-presents regarding social views on infiltration(s)/espionage(s) and blood-diamond intrigue and 'James Bond' intelligence(s)! To Storm-Shadow (Amlan Satan), Gambit is like a modern-day comics-rendition of Ares, God of War.

GAMBIT (Amlan Satan - 'Storm-Shadow'): Me thinks I'll get a fancy red-glass piano for my Atlantic City suite after scoring.

Unfortunately, this 'trip' to Atlantic City is not a simple/recreational one, as 'Gambit' (Amlan Satan --- 'Storm-Shadow') has to deal with a blood-diamond baron named Nicholson, a man of great imagination/intuition who's daring folks to beat him at Blackjack for a stake in his 'world-famed' gems (actually Sierra Leone 'conflict-zone' gems, blood-diamonds!).

NICHOLSON: How's you beat me, Gambit (I'm excellent at Blackjack).
GAMBIT (Amlan Satan --- 'Storm-Shadow'): I simply used patience and dark magic faith.
NICHOLSON: Catholic?
GAMBIT: Sometimes!
NICHOLSON: What's this 'Evil Elf' doodle you have on the back of your hand (tattoo)?
GAMBIT: Good luck avatar.
NICHOLSON: Atlantic City thing, eh?
GAMBIT: Precisely, Nicholson.

Gambit makes an Interpol-relations transfer/exchange of Nicholson's blood-diamonds before returning to his vacation imagination(s) in fair Atlantic City, and his girlfriend, Sandy the cheerleader who's visiting him there now, compliments his sense of stone-collection(s).

SANDY: You've a real 'sense' of fortune(s) design(s), Gambit, my man!

With Nicholson out of the view, Atlantic City fair for the piano(s), Gambit/Sandy plan to celebrate what makes the fabled East Coast casino-resorting area/nexus so darn reflective/symbolic of the 'ghost(s)' of the dream(s).
