Amlan Satan is a self-appointed poetry 'eco-dean' in California, traveling all around the sunshine-state and searching for signs of modern pedestrian consumerism consciousness catering to ideas/dialogue surrounding eco-conservationism and eco-political activism.

AMLAN SATAN ('Eco-Dean'): I'm driving a rented Saab limo all around California with some of my inherited fortune(s)!

The San Diego Chargers stadium is one-stop he's making in his California road-trip, during which he's using a handy-dandy instant-camera his girlfriend (Sandy) gave him to record the printing(s) of life's traffic motion(s) caught to re-present the Earth image(s) of fantastic capitalism.

When this modern 'Edward Abbey' makes a pot-stop at a California Woolworth's, a symbol of consumerism/commerce aesthetic(s) and imagination(s), he notes how shopping is bled into the life of the American and why capitalism can be seen as a form of 'brain-candy' that doesn't necessarily cater to the erect idea(s) of real eco-distance(s).

For a culture in which eco-waste and pollution are by-products of capitalism machinery, this Eco-Dean (Amlan Satan) may just be able to use his California tour of snapshot-imagery for consumerism dissection to argue for the modern 'demand' for energy-efficient goods/products like eco-friendly light-bulbs which could encourage the everyday home-maker to find ways to convert shopping...into art(s).

His cheering girlfriend (Sandy) buys the Eco-Dean an amazing silver shiny Lantern ring re-presenting his diary notes about eco-active lifestyle ornament(s), and he considers how his travel notation(s) have stirred in him 'fancy' ideas about the fruits of capitalism introspection and why the American Dream may be 'bled' into the small environmental dream(s).

Even if this Eco-Dean doesn't achieve what Edward Abbey or Greenpeace did in the previous decades in US political alternative history/intellectualism, he'd certainly be cast as a 'cyber-blogging' diarist of what comprises real modern Western/American civilization dance. After all, isn't the Statue of Liberty a symbolic 'green' color...reminding us about feeling 'haunted' about pure depression?
