The realm of Outworld was preparing for a great tournament of martial-arts fight(s) and would invite fighters of legend from around the universe, in a contest which just might extend beyond the space-time boundaries of Outworld itself...perhaps to Earth-realm itself!

On Earth-realm, youngsters and Mortal Kombat aficionados used their PS game-systems to recreate the fantastic fighting seen in Outworld, and they'd seen the images and designs of the warriors we'd mentioned were preparing for the very real fighting in Outworld. This was the age of tech-driven space-dreams...and toys.

The various incredible warriors in Outworld seen trumpeted in Outworld included Scorpion, Raiden, Jade, Kitana, Kotal Kahn, and Rain. This was a fight-to-death game, and the weapons of martial-arts included throwing chains, batons of radioactive dangers, decapitating blade-fans, and boots with steel knives.

A special Mortal Kombat aficionado on Earth-realm, a human named Amlan Satan (aka, 'Storm-Shadow') likened these 'Outworld' fight-images/scenarios to great wars in civilization and great capitalism/competition intrigue linked to things like blood-diamond piracy, sectarian wars, and urban riots. Storm-Shadow, folks, is the human diplomat of Mortal Kombat and wondered how he's 'merge' the designs/fancy of Outworld with the confidence in cyber-clubs on Earth.

The fighters on Outworld were really something. These were trained specialists who'd used special greater>lesser forms of acrobatics to orient their challengers/adversaries to the gritty reality of skilled fury. After all, even violence had its special forms of expression, right?

STORM-SHADOW (Amlan Satan): The designs/uniforms of the Outworld combatants are shiny and stalking; real darkness.

Amlan Satan (Storm-Shadow) is in love with the Outworld warrior-princess Kitana, a fierce lady with blade-fans she can use to delimb or decapitate her foolish challengers. This is hell. This is fury. This is awesome.

Business was carried on as usual on Earth-realm in the post-9/11 era of commercial fears in places like Chinatown, Sydney, and Taiwan. The Russo-Ukrainian War in Europe made people worry that the designed confidence of world-business/hospitality would be 'troubled' by forms of fighting beyond human beauty.

Fortunately, supermarkets and grocers on Earth-realm continued to trumpet/market great products representative of culture-exchange and globalism-rhetoric driven capitalism! This was a time of potential peace highways created by Wall Street and Netgrocer.

STORM-SHADOW (Amlan Satan): The fierce ladies/gentlemen of Outworld are hell-fighters, but we don't worry; Earth is sane.

Americans fell behind on Earth-realm in the auto-industry, electronics, and arguably fashion/tourism. However, America still led the way in modern time(s) with Apple computers, Microsoft, Xbox video-game systems, and of course all kinds of consumer-electronics batteries which charged toys (e.g., Duracell, Energizer, Rayovac). Perhaps the Outworld god-fighter Raiden, master of lightning/electricity, captured the 'fury' of American confidence shocking the rest of the world with defiant forms of creative if humble dance. Raiden might be a warrior who'd 'seep into' the energy consciousness of Earth-realm with his battery-like martial dance!

STORM-SHADOW (Amlan Satan): We see incredible forms of fashion-aesthetic on Earth comparable to Outworld costumes.

Sure there is. In fact, Hollywood (USA) boasts all kind of pageantry and parades of fashion-designing seen in Outworld and Mortal Kombat tournaments, and we just might think that one of the 'dolls' of Earth-realm might be 'adapted' into a newly-enhanced Outworld warrior-woman...such as the inimitable Sindel.

STORM-SHADOW (Amlan Satan): Earth-realm is full of dazzling diamonds, and Outworld is full of glass-shattering demons!

Hey, there's plenty of sportsmanlike competition on Earth-realm, and we (arguably) see such pageantry/fancy every Super Bowl Sunday, when activity generates millions of dollars in profits/jewelry. This is Earth-realm. It may not be Outworld...but it arguably is 'closer' to Outworld than we imagine...close enough to draw in the spirit(s) of Mortal Kombat!

STORM-SHADOW (Amlan Satan): I can liken Outworld tourneys to Earth-realm carrom and billiards tourneys of excellence!

As long as humans love storytelling and competitive arrogance, Mortal Kombat (and Outworld!) will capture/signify an evolutionary 'position' on the quality of strength and honor...and magic! Why else would humans invest so much in the design(s) of competition-dreaming?
