A New York art-heist comprises this multiple-view of the iconic city's post-9/11 era 'sense' of demo-detentions!

A fable about what makes New York so completely drilled, inspired by The Thomas Crown Affair (Pierce Brosnan). Hope you like it,

The Whitney Musem (NY) boasts many fine examples of contemporary works/arts and re-presents a Western view of the casting of creativity through the media-lens of showcased prestige and vanity. However, it's about to get a new 'boost' of energy in the form of an iconic Mortal Kombat avatar drawing of a warrior-princess named Kitana who's going to 'grace' the museum's walls with a new sense of youthful dance, but it's going to be 'equally' tracked by a master-thief with an eye for museum-interiors.

KITANA: This is Outworld, we fight the evil Kahn, and we're determine to cast ourselves as warrior 'queens' of the era!

The master-thief behind this heist of a symbolic work of youth-activity (video-games!) artwork is an ex-FIRA member. Now, FIRA ('Foreign Irish Republican Army') was based out of New Zealand and invested solely in the infiltrations of blood-diamond piracy-smuggling traffic stretching from Sierra Leone into already economically challenged sectarian Northern Ireland (United Kingdom), so as to facilitate the 'smooth' Sinn Fein negotiations regarding affirmative-action employment assistance program talks catering to the poverty-afflicted Catholic 'underclass' which would be otherwise drawn into dangerous forms of black-market crimes! This master-thief, ex-FIRA, knows the Kitana (Mortal Kombat) painting is secretly co-owned by a ruthless blood-diamond baron named Ion and hopes to take the painting, replace with a replica, store the original in a Zurich safe box (Europe), and have it copied for miniature postage-stamps and stickers for the Catholics/Protestants kids of Northern Ireland (United Kingdom).

The master-thief, ex-FIRA is 'Storm-Shadow' (real-name: unknown), but currently, he's using the NY alias Tran Shah ('TS') and is entering the Whitney posing as a visiting 'writer' from Scotland/Algeria and wants to make a series of poems about the now-fabled Kitana (Mortal Kombat) painting behind held inside the 'equally' fabled art-museum. He's going to the museum late-at-night to generate the poems between midnight-4am (late night work catering to the brooding 'artistic' mind!) while being monitored by the single guardsman (Leo)!

GUARDSMAN (Leo): While Shah's sitting alone in the Kitana exhibit-room, I'll be gawking at his A's baseball-cards collection!

Now, ex-FIRA master-thief Storm-Shadow had to perform some 'serious' finagling to smuggle in the iconic A's baseball-cards to 'distract/hypnotize' Leo while he'd be making those Kitana-poems in the exhibit-room of the Whitney. While Leo's staring at the cards in the neighboring room, Storm-Shadow ('Shah') will pull out a syringe from his shoe-slideout sole which contains an instant sedative chemical and discreetly inject it into Leo's back and help him lean back so it looks like he's going to sleep (in front of the view of the security-camera).

Storm-Shadow then takes a cloth-veil and covers the security-camera in Leo's museum-room and then another veil for the one in his own (Kitana) room! He then removes the Kitana painting and the copy/replica from his briefcase underlining and makes the swap. He then places Leo's body in the Kitana room before taking the veil off the security-cameras off and prepares his alibi for the next-day! He tells the female museum curator, the ever-depression Azalea Dartmouth (a real siren of the art-world), "As the camera-video reveals, Leo just passed out, and I think he'd been stung by a bee before he did, and we covered the cameras to give him discretion for about 15-minutes and dragged him into the Kitana-room so he'd just 'be there' while I completed my poems, and afterwards, when he awoke, we hugged and he started weeping because of his negligence/error and continued to gawk at my A's cards (baseball)." It seems the art-bird Azalea believed this whole 'ridiculous' tale because she simply wanted to believe in Leo's sense of sportsmanship-damage!

During the entire painting experience, Storm-Shadow has been 'dressed' as something like a Cossack, since he'd not wanted to be re-presented in future media 'chatter' with the video of him sitting calmly/quietly generating those Kitana (Mortal Kombat) poems next to Leo's unconscious body inside the Whitney exhibit room! After all, the art-world had become too 'obsessed' with the capitalism overground marketing of 'vanity-fashions' appearances of celebrated glamour-artists/writers like Cyrax, Cruz, and Creighton and simply wanted a new 'air' of street-wear 'folk' which is why 'Shah' (Storm-Shadow) was costumed as a 'street-gypsy' during the art-heist of the Whitney!

STORM-SHADOW: We gifted the Whitney a case of toy water-guns the next week (from Belfast) for good cyber-fanfare IQ!

Two weeks later, a much more 'heavy' heist of a diamond treasure from the Federal Reserve Bank was carried out by a squad of advanced super-terrorists invading North America and seeking to destroy the gem-highways running into the West and stole a NYPD armored-truck for the deed!

THE POST: This certainly adds 'credence' to the notion that major city-conspiracies should/could be watered with newsies!

Now, we all know the great American (fabled!) city of New York has been both colored/tainted by the post-9/11 era scars of street-traffic destabilization or 'troubles' paranoia, and the double-news tale(s) of Kitana and gem-sabotage in this great historic city was eventually 'calmed' by the awesome St. Patrick's Day Parade (Irish culture!) which reminded the whole world that New York first-and-foremost will always be a 'thing' of great distances drinks.

“The city seen from the Queensboro Bridge is always the city seen for the first time, in its first wild promise of all the mystery and beauty in the world” F. Scott Fitzgerald.
