WalMart: The Kitana Hallucinations

I have a sort of problem. I've been a Mortal Kombat video-game fan, but everytime it seems recently I go about my daily life, blogging about Sinn Fein online or going to WalMart (especially!), I start to daydream or 'hallucinate' that I'm 'seeing' Kitana everywhere I go and inside the living 'spirits' of the people and places all around me. This is a strange dilemma, but I have to confess this somehow.

I'm a political writer who also dabbles in Crypt-comics art online, and I've got a special love of the fantastic, which is why I 'fell in love' with Kitana (Mortal Kombat), a blade-fan wielding warrior-princess of 'terrific' feminine mystique or proportion, and I'm wondering if my love of comics has engendered this metaphysical consciousness I present here.

Kitana is relentless, self-composed, wroughtly magical, and divine. She's my Athena, and I'm a Catholic and know I shouldn't 'obsess' with video-game avatars, but something about Kitana captures my 'human' interest(s) in dynamics-designs.

Even when I'm writing about politics or visiting special places in New England it seems lately, all I can really 'dream' about is Kitana (Mortal Kombat), and I wonder (truly) if all this daydream is really about my adventures in storytelling, and if I'm becoming 'meta-human' then can I cast Kitana as my Athena or institutional inspiration figurine?

This is certainly the case when I go to the super-market and I watch consumers and shoppers and think about how Kitana inhabits their courage or simple humility or basic humanity. Kitana does after all symbolize some of the 'sanity' of life's vitality, and American consumerism is all about security.

Every now and then, I see an actual market-shopper who even looks like Kitana (at least to me!), and I start to think she's there with me, talking to me, and giving me special (secret!) inspirations to live my life and think about my own courage to make meaningful human links for life's special magic.

Maybe when I go to heaven, all I'll see is Kitana. This might be the case. That's not such a bad 'Catholic' dream, and I wonder if all this work with political-writings (Sinn Fein) and American consumerism (e.g., 'WalMart') makes me think of the diadems of democratic life or fortune or courage or simple living hallucinations! This is modern daylight, no?
