The Northern Ireland punk-rock female music-band known as the Misfits wanted to apply their love of sentimental fun music for the masses after their eco-hit Diamonds are Forevermore became a global sensation among cyber-eco liberals working in global-warming cyber-media/forums. However, the Misfits hoped to transcend the bounds of their Belfast circle(s) and expand into the West (America) with a modernized fable-lyric of the 'curse' of Sleeping Beauty.

The Misfits wanted to find a special private-detective in New England (Boston) who'd been working on a specific case involving the protection of a young American woman (of attractive feature!) who'd been threatened/fearful because of a potential stalker or death-threat miscreant who'd robbed the 'American beauty' of her ability to sleep well (or in peace!). The Misfits wanted to adapt the iconic 'dark' fairy-tale of a special princess who'd been cursed by a wicked sorceress and doomed to sleep forever unless she was rescued by the 'dashing' kiss of a real hero-prince of 'true' love. The Misfits wanted to adapt this iconic legendary 'dark' fairy-tale into a modern-day adaptation featuring a real-world 'crime-fear' vignette of an American woman of beautiful appearance who'd been unable to sleep well or in sanity because of death-threats and who required a special 'private-detective' to help her feel somewhat more 'sane' to be alive at all!

MISFITS: The purpose of this non-eco lyric is to introduce modern audience(s) to the 'concept' of knighthood in motions!

They found the ideal candidate after sifting through countless New England fashion/society magazines, cyber-'fanzines', pop-culture articles/editorials, and even classifieds (New England). The Misfits discovered that a Boston detective, privately hired by a modern-day 'real' American princess, a Kentucky Derby showgirl/musketeer who'd appeared in various charity-event photo-shoots for Esquire, was being stalked by an unknown man, a psycho-criminal who referred to himself 'loosely' and really only to this vulnerable 'American princess' as the Night-Slasher. This was the perfect Sleeping Beauty to the iconic Misfits (Northern Ireland)! This princess, Esha, had been robbed of her ability to sleep soundly/securely in peace because of the worry of the Night-Slasher who just might prey on 'any given Sunday' society figurine/model/princess.

The Boston private-detective hired to watch-over this 'American princess' (Sleeping Beauty) is Amlan Satan (field-alias 'Shadow') who used special sleuth techniques not only to secure Esha's private Boston apartment-building/residence but also to follow her around on bicycle to work and from work to home in a 'theatrical' get-up or business-suit so as to appear like an 'artist' or 'salesman' while keeping a solid eye out for the Night-Slasher. Princess Esha (Sleeping Beauty) was worried this 'Night-Slasher' psycho was someone she may've met during some society charity-event, and her hired 'hero/angel' (Private-Dick 'Shadow' - Amlan Satan) was handy and able to perform the necessary 'sleuth' labors to offer the vulnerable 'damsel' a morsel of relief...and courage.

MISFITS (Sleeping Beauty - lyrics): "There's a lady or princess, if you're really not sure, who lives in a dyer-maker enchantment-abode in dear old New England, singing to herself, for her name's so soft, and in her lofty 'loft' of sorts, she's watched-over by the only 'true' loving prince at-hand, a Private-Dick named Amlan Satan; here's a fellow with a heart-of-glass, and a shield of valor/inquiry, and he wields the sword to make this threat/mockery a 'thing' of awakening, a thing of reckoning...and the fates of these two lovers of New England may find each other in enchanted sleep, for the demon chasing the princess (a 'night-slasher'), may indeed be 'wrapped-up' in the snake(s) of the deep."
