Amlan Satan ('Storm-Shadow') is a blood-diamond infiltration(s) analyst at Dartmouth (New England) with Interpol-relations office(s) and is reading Dubliners (Joyce) and trying to retire from this 'James Bond' life with a choice between two paths diverging in the snowy wood road.

STORM-SHADOW: Working in intelligence underground as a communications writer is 'tricky' and I want to find retirement.

His readings of works by Joyce and Eamon De Valera have given Storm-Shadow a special 'consciousness' regarding the nuances of human civilization, governance, rebellion, and culture. This life in the United States is one of intellectual freedom(s) and requires special diligence/duty regarding the perception(s) of socialized distance(s) in globalizing culture/highways and language-arts of inter-religious coexistence (and piracy paranoia!).

STORM-SHADOW: Here's what I'll do; I'll play jacks 50/50 chance to decide of retirement with one of two 'angels' for me.

Storm-Shadow heads to Boston (New England) for the summer, converts to Catholicism, and starts to live in a leased nice apartment while living off his 'James Bond' pension with Interpol-relations office(s). He takes his long strolls in the summer park by the water(s) and thinks about which of his two 'determined' angels of retirement will offer him the right frame of consciousness...for peace!

STORM-SHADOW: One 'angel' is a video-game avatar, a blade-fan wielding 'warrior-princess' (Kitana); the other is a prominent media-figure about to make a serious film about blood-diamond(s) and is connecting with writers in the field, including myself (Esha); Kitana is a woman of great fury and honor, and Esha's an 'angel' of great socialized distance(s) and storytelling prestige/aura; whom shall be my angel of peace?

Storm-Shadow can't decide so he buys two dark-green (Earth-colored) rabbit's-foot(s) for lucky-charm imagination and walks around Boston Park by the waters and thinks about his 'two angels' of retirement (Kitana&Esha). Whichever 'angel' of retirement affords him the greater 'spice' of peace for his state-of-mind shall become his 'eternal' muse for his new retirement-novel about finding romance/marriage with a disguised human-angel in sectarian Belfast (UK).

STORM-SHADOW: "Ladies and gentlemen, I want to thank you for this amazing Pulitzer Prize, and I want to explain/disclose why I chose this 'retirement-angel' Kitana (a video-game woman 'avatar' for modern time!) as my 'muse' for my awarded/honored work Belfast Bride(s); firstly, I'll say Kitana is the modern Athena for me, a classic angel of life-guidance; secondly, I'd have to say that unlike any other Earth 'angel' I've conceived or written about in my life/past, Kitana (a warrior-princess from 'Outworld') is a 'messenger' of simple human descent; thank you so much!"
