A special detective faerie (winged humanoid in forest with message of wisdom/warnings) was spying on a human on Earth civilization who'd become a messenger of the 'desolation' caused by the invisible darkness of unchecked capitalism. This detective faerie hoped to evaluate the nature/quality of consciousness restoration pertaining to the magic of redeemed capitalism.

The human laborer the detective faerie was spying on is Amlan Satan, who's a blood-diamond analyst for Interpol-office(s) in Northern Ireland (United Kingdom), confronting the modern 'hellmouths' of poverty-driven street-terrors and criminal ruin as best as any modern 'James Bond' might be able to do but became truly forlorn in this future-Earth civilization of great distances and traffic evils, making this 'Bartleby' civil-servant a basic 'isolated' praying-man of the night.

Satan (Amlan) had this special secret jacks-toy set which he used to always take his mind off the 'living hell' of the civilization labyrinth created by unchecked capitalism ambition(s). He considered his jacks-toy set a nifty way to practice hand-eye coordination and movement-timing as it pertained to the rhythms of human imagination syncopation and how it'd distract him from the very 'real' evil and darkness of manmade ruin(s). The detective faerie who'd been spying on this 'Bartleby' of Earth-civilization regarded Satan's use of the jacks-toys as certainly a sign/reflection of the privacy of human hope(s).

AMLAN SATAN: Maybe I'll run away somewhere or in the afterlife, and I'll forget about these modern artworks of dark cities.

The detective faerie witnessed in dismay when Amlan Satan, the 'Bartleby' of Earth-civilization was killed by a UVF crossfire/skirmish in Derry, right outside Northern Ireland. Everyone would remember this 'James Bond' character of the future-Earth 'dark city' as simply a man who strived to bring the very-best he could for a darkened mankind, and the detective faerie who'd spied on him considered her 'memory' of this pseudo-hero of social function a strange 'magic' of death!
