New Orleans (USA) is a place of distinctive street-masquerade/march in the season before Easter, and it marks a great flowery in costumes and the celebration of the unusual.

Amlan Satan is a real-life modern-day pirate, a man descended from Yellowbeard himself, and is attending the Mardi Gras festival in New Orleans, a ritualized form of insanity (really!) and is dressing up like some kind of harlequin-bandit and will no doubt cast the festival this year as a toast to Western deformity.

AMLAN SATAN: I need a pirate-alias for Mardi Gras before I hit the streets in costume with my camera for images of beauty.

You never know who'll attend this year's Mardi Gras in a freakish mask/costume, claiming they're newborn 'strangers' of life on Earth and seek the intrigue of street-dreams! It might even be a model/celebrity seeking a re-presentation of the area's local insanity or dance and might lure in Amlan Satan (the Yellowbeard-relation!) to an activity of undeniable dreads.

AMLAN SATAN: I'll be looking for a damsel in a Mortal Kombat (video-game) get-up to cheer her on as a modern Barbie!

He's going to bring water-guns (toys) filled with acid to shoot at trash on the streets to send messages about the 'real' value of maintaining urban hygiene in times of great thoroughfare/anarchy. That's a sensible pirate deed, indeed.

He might even get to the local grocer's at Mardi Gras time to pick up a big wheel of cheese-and-soda. That's money for your bag(s), right? You see, in America, convenience is akin to daylights.

AMLAN SATAN: All I need now is 'real' pirate-money or at least youthful game-tokens (silver/purple/green).

There's vampires in New Orleans and Occult nuns and merchants of darkness too, so you gotta wonder if our real-life 'pirate' of Mardi Gras (Amlan Satan) will simply find festivity...or a dark game.
