My name's Amlan Satan. I've been studying the existence of 'faeries' (tiny winged humanoids of the forests with messages of wisdom/warning) and thinking about what comprises a human fantasy of why they exist and may be wandering around in our living midst with special messages about life's journey or vitality or perhaps even immortality.

I consider myself a modern-day 'Sherlock Holmes' in my composition of faerie-theosophy work(s) and cast my studies through the vivid lens of detections of metaphysics in what we call 'modern civilization' for the express if limited purpose of extracting mysticism from our otherwise capitalism-centric world of busy traffic/commerce.

The investigation I write about here concerns the awesome 1988 Calgary Winter Games (Olympics), during which the amazing ice-skating women's competition drew out a global audience interest in the casting of dazzling female acrobatics and elegance and competitive grace in the arena of media-broadcast sportsmanship...and peace!

I started focusing on the performance/skill of a particular female ice-skater in Calgary who seemed to me miraculously to be or at least resemble some kind of humanoid-transformed visiting 'faerie' from the forest! Yes, I seemed to myself to feel insane or delusional, but I'd convinced myself that in this busy world of commercial vanities/traffic, we'd forgotten some of the simple divinity surrounding us, in the form of everyday 'super heroes' (globalism peace promoting Olympians) whose grace and acrobatics dazzle reminded us of the fluttering wings of hovering/soaring/glowing faeries! I was taking notes, as a practicing/happy Catholic, on why this amazing Calgary (Olympics) ice-skater may be some kind of 'faerie' disguised as a human to deliver a 'promising' message of everlasting peace!

En-route to this Olympian's ice-skating glory, she'd captured my imagination/attention as I doodled/jotted in my red comics notebook on what made this woman seem/feel like an 'extra-human' or a 'super-human' or some kind of outrageous faerie-woman or mystical creature from the forest!

I decided to call this notebook the Faerie Detector(s) Kit (FDC), and I kept it in my personal study library at Dartmouth, where my metaphysics/theosophy cognition studies on the nature of immortality anthropology reflected a civilization inquiry into the 'deep state' of human consciousness itself.

We've got so many amazing and outrageous and outstanding forms of comics-art characterizing/depicting fantastic 'super-humans' of incredible deeds/intelligence that any practicing/faithful Western Catholic (such as myself!), you've got to wonder if a modern civilization curiosity about 'faerie-existence' is imprinted onto a running artistic inquiry into the metaphysical qualities of immortality and power/magic diarism. Why're we so fascinated by the unusual these days, in an era of media, MTV, Facebook, and Nickelodeon.com?

Perhaps this 'FDC' notebook of mine, ready for some nice/nifty comics-storytelling, will make for some handy-dandy audio-recordings (on vintage compact-cassettes!) about what makes faerie-theosophy re-presentative of a newfound modern academic fascination with the 'nature' of the human soul. Perhaps the 'faerie' is the new tech-era ghost!

I don't know honestly what such metaphysics 'indulgence(s)' will yield for this age of toys and capital, but I do know that Calgary 'FDC' diary-notebook of mine will be cherished by me as some 'footnote' about the extra-human quality of accessible divinity, if cast only/purely through the 'lens' of anthropological dreamcatchers!
