My girlfriend Ezzy is real proud of me, and this is the story of why.

I live in a rented room in a special social-house at an Ivy school in New England (North America) and work-from-home as a cyber-consultant and collect American baseball-cards and consider my George Brett Royals-Topps card one of my prized trophies. My social-house is a place I consider very American, and it's the site of our story about moral temptations.

My name's Amlan Satan, and while living in my social-house in New England, I was negotiating with a special baseball-cards merchant/advertiser who wanted to evaluate my Brett-Topps card for a cyber-fanzine feature and wished to see the condition of my card and visited me at my social-house/room in New England.

I've been to quite a few cards-trade shows where I perused the amazing collections of many merchants/collectors and noted the strange 'magic' of baseball-cards and why the American hobby/pastime has become a great symbol/reflection of what makes the representative sport such a 'diadem' of socialized distances and fitness comfiness and field-hype. I've noted great cards at these trade-shows of great players like Jose Canseco, John Olerud, Jason Giambi, and Joe DiMaggio. It's at these trade-shows for baseball-cards where I gained a special consciousness regarding the metaphysics of sports-market dance!

When the cyber-merchant/advertiser visited me at my social-house/room in New England to evaluate my Brett-Topps card for a promotion exercise for a cyber-fanzine feature, I had a 'vision' in which two 'faeries' (winged tiny humanoids of the forest with messages of wisdom/warning), representing light and dark, wanted me to consider the 'value' of selling my Brett-Topps card to this visiting/impressed cyber-merchant/advertiser despite the 'truth' that the card held great personal/magical value to me. The dark-blue faerie suggested I should sell the card and look for something better in life, while the light-white faerie suggested I keep the Brett-card simply for my own personal dance/design. I decided to agree with the white-light/good faerie, because her advice/warning reflected (I believe) a certain 'confidence' regarding the 'metaphysics' or 'magic' of sports-market detention(s).

MERCHANT: I can see your Topps-Brett Royals rookie-card (mint-condition!) is excellent; yet, you insist it's a gem-dragon!

That's my little story here, folks. I defied my temptation to sell my Brett-Topps card for profit and kept it personal reason(s) in my now 'gold' briefcase. I consider it a 'toast' to the 'sheer excellence' of great sports-market design. I consider my decision a 'toast' to New England sports-spirit and fanfare! My girlfriend Ezzy has told me that because my 'gold' briefcase represents a special fascination with 'treasure' design, I should consider my Brett-decision a dance for the ages!

EZZY: Would you've made the identical decision if you had to do it again, after all these years, darling?
AMLAN: Of course, darling; that Brett-card reminds me why sports-fanfare symbolizes 'human' dowry.
