The 'Gifted' Amlan Satan

The 'Gifted' Amlan Satan

A Story by Abishai100
"

Strange fable, inspired by a movie, about an eccentric 'dark antihero' whose flight into delusion leads to an escapist 'vision' of art-distance(s).

"
Signing off in the end with this homage to a classic remake, The Talented Mr. Ripley (Matt Damon). Enjoy,

They were the perfect young Aryan couple, the Ripleys, and they'd been living off the princely inheritance of the beau's father, and the girlfriend, the lovely Marge, was a picture of wealth and magic. This is what drew in Amlan Satan to Venice, where the Ripleys were vacationing, idling time on the waters, and Amlan Satan took iPhone-photos of the gorgeous people that reminded him of the modern cinematic landscape.

AMLAN SATAN: Venice is everything my ambition draws, and I'm going to make a sculpture of Marge Ripley here in the water.

Amlan Satan befriended Marge and her prince-beau Tom, and the trio hopped around Venice, as Satan fooled them into thinking he'd been a student of world-travel, when he was actually a rogue agent of the 'Foreign Irish Republican Army' (F-IRA), performing blood-diamond heists from baron safe-boxes containing the hellish 'conflict-zone' gems from Sierra Leone which would devastate Northern Ireland (United Kingdom) peace-talks between Sinn Fein and Parliament regarding affirmative-action employment assistance programs for the Catholic underclass strained by poverty and socioeconomics conditions disparities creating sectarian troubles. Amlan Satan simply 'fled' from the maelstrom.

AMLAN SATAN: I've studied copycat-music and shall become a 'paragon' of Aryan-mannerisms and steal the Ripley cyber-art.

This 'art' was a cyber-avatar pencil-sketch of Da Vinci like youthful energy and Tom kept it in a Venice mod-art museum for Marge. Amlan Satan meanwhile boasted his Rickey Henderson A's Topps baseball-card, which he carried everywhere like a transit-passport of world-treasure(s). He showcased it to Tom Ripley who meanwhile boasted of the mod-artwork(s) in the Venice museum holding his prized possessions.

TOM: You want to 'show-off' this strange Rickey Henderson baseball-card to me, Amlan Satan, as if you're a sports dude!

Amlan Satan broke into the Venice museum after stealing a special prince-key which Tom Ripley kept in his Venice apartment with Marge. He swapped the cyber-avatar art-pencil masterpiece, a warrior-princess (Kitana) from Mortal Kombat lore in video-game fanfare. It was a modest work of referenced 'entertainment' media, but it was much 'finer' than Amlan Satan's prized baseball-card(s), including his Rickey Henderson A's diamond.

Amlan Satan then snuck back into the Ripley apartment and poisoned Tom's breakfast milk so as to hide/obscure any evidence of his relation with the Ripleys, since only Tom Ripley would suspect Amlan Satan was the 'culprit' in any media-gossip drawing Kitana-artwork swap dialogue. Tom the fallen prince was buried in a Venice cemetery with great laurels.

MARGE: Why'd you come to see me, Amlan Satan?
AMLAN: I wanted to show you this Kitana-artwork replica, Marge Ripley!
MARGE: Me thinks I'm getting an eerie feeling of goosebumps, old pal.
AMLAN: I merely wanted to wish you farewell...I'm retiring to Denmark!
MARGE: I won't forget our time together in Venice (with my prince Tom).
AMLAN: I'm gifting you my Rickey Henderson card, for our memory of time together, Marge Ripley.
MARGE: You're a gifted and strange sort, Amlan Satan...but I suppose you're simply a 'man' of darkness.
