Narrated 'academic' vignette of a faerie-scholar who may discover his own life is more 'detained' than he conceived at Dartmouth.

One extra 'faerie-tale' inspired by My Stepmother Is an Alien (Kim Basinger). Enjoy,

I've been a Dartmouth theosophy professor of divinity-studies for about 2 years now, and I've been reading/presenting the work of faerie-myth(s) by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. However, this isn't a standard 'academic' faerie-tale.

I was at the immaculate Dartmouth (Ivy League) library while studying my faerie-work(s) and noticed all the nice student-traffic/thoroughfare of diligent/aspiring young college students in New England (United States)!

While I was in the shelves-area of the section of the immaculate college library that day researching/writing faerie-work(s), I suddenly realized all the students had disappeared from view. Everyone was gone! I wondered what the heck happened, as suddenly that immaculate library was completely vacated.

That night, some hours later, I decided to take a walk into the river(s)-area of the college campus in New England and decided to sit down by a water-body and trees and write in my journal about faeries (winged mythic humanoids with messages of warning/wisdom!) with my flashlight/pen and suddenly noticed and beheld a real-life faerie! She came upon me and told me her name, Jasmine. I didn't know what to think, but I found her beautiful and charming. She whispered, "I'll find you again, professor, but next time 'disguised' as a human-woman with a life-spirit, so keep good attention and focus, good scholar of faeries."

The next months, I spent in my campus apartment bedroom watching The Terminal (Tom Hanks) and thinking of the matrix-lines of civilization traffic/thoroughfare and if I'd simply 'hallucinated' that rivers-faerie (Jasmine?) and perhaps 'linked' my deep-thoughts about faerie-theosophy as a man of Catholic devotion (since faeries are not unlike Christian-mythos 'angels') and self-imposed idealized delusions!

I started putting together a special faerie-works research cyber-blog project sideshow about the idea that I might 'lure' in the spirits of faeries in chess-games in my campus apartment to initiate 'deep-thoughts' chats about the quality of civilization folklore-IQ and their significance for developed rhetoric.

Well, it turns out a media-figure, an ex-celeb, Yale (Ivy League!) graduate, Jasmine Stone, read my Dartmouth cyber-blogs about 'faeries' and wanted to meet with me and talk about her own reading(s) of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (Sherlock Holmes!). When we met at the Hanover Inn, I was started to discover she resembled that 'faerie-apparition' I thought I'd beheld by the college campus rivers-forest area, the faerie-specter of the same name --- Jasmine!

JASMINE: You own a very 'fine' gold bicycle, Professor.
ME: Yeah, well, I consider it my 'trophy' for campus roam.
JASMINE: Can I take a ride on it, doc?
ME: Sure!

Her father wanted to meet me after we started a relationship. I told him, Frank, about my faerie-works and he was himself a fan of Sherlock Holmes. I told him I thought his daughter, Jasmine Stone, ex-celeb and Yale grad, was very lovely and smart, and he told me oddly enough, "I've always thought myself, Professor-man, that Jasmine Stone is a 'faerie' born as a human-child."

JASMINE: Why're you gifting me this jasmine-color gem-stone jewel, sweetheart?
ME: I believe you're that very-same 'faerie' ('Jasmine') I encountered by the Dartmouth rivers-forest area, Ms. Stone.
JASMINE: You're dreaming...

FRANK: Doc, I loved that vigilante-fable (Robin Hood?) you posted on the Dartmouth-Net.
ME: You noticed my photo-image of my costumed-self as a 'faerie' man, a modern Sherlock Holmes!
FRANK: I thought to myself, "I'm psyched he's with my darling Jasmine Stone"...you resembled a faerie, Professor-man.
ME: I felt like one, Doc.

I got my new wife (Jasmine) a lovely porcelain sink-and-gold faucet set and told her the reason I found joy(s) in the ideations of her washing her 'spirit' in it (during the Coronavirus-tribulations) was because I began to think of myself as a 'faerie' from the proverbial Twilight Zone(s) of hygienic life-imaginations. She was delightful.

JASMINE: I got you this Twilight Zone comics-issue about an 'artist' who becomes a mirror-image 'prince' with fantasy-identity.

The lessons learned were great. I'd concluded Jasmine was real and so was I --- a 'faerie'-humanoid. I thought to myself, "I think this is the 'inception' of a divinely 'deep' madness for modern times."
