Flames/Faeries: The Calgary Deal

A 'faerie-tale' referencing the top-flight Calgary Flames (currently 'tied') in a taut 3-3 series with the Stars and inspired by the ice-hockey film Miracle (Kurt Russell). Hope you like,

Calgary sunset is a great view of the modern world in North America, and I'm Amlan Satan, a bank-robber in the area playing/coaching for the Flames ice-hockey team during the Stanley Cup playoff finals, when the city might take a big bite out of the rival Tampa Bay team from Florida.

My bank-robbery unit is comprised of about 4-5 Flames teammates who rotate in tasks. We call ourselves the faeries, since we're actually faeries. That's right --- faeries (winged humanoids from the forest). We disguised ourselves as Canadian citizens and Interpol-office(s) relations blood-diamond operationalists creating subversions of corrupt baron holdings in North American banks while doubling as Flames athletes during the Stanley Cup rivalry with the Tampa Bay Lightning.

As captain of this bank-robbery unit, I've named our faerie-force in Calgary the Red Mask ('RM'), and we're all practicing Catholics with girlfriends, some of whom are faerie-humanoids (like us!). We care about the defense of diamond-securities sullying the global diamond market in the modern era of clean-coal technologies (eco-friendly renewables!).

SHELBYE: As a humanoid-faerie and Calgary 'patriot' for the Flames final with the Lightning, I keep abreast of Red-Mask.

Interpol has given us funny cyber-jokes/comments like "The Red-Mask reminds me of the 'Foreign Irish Republican Army' (FIRA)!" which is another method of invoking the Calgary imagination that this Robin Hood task of blood-diamond work would incite the storytellers about inventive capitalism-defense folklore.

Of course, no one knows Red-Mask ('RM') is composed of 'faerie-humanoids' and think we're simply funloving Flames athletes ready to topple the continental 'mystique' of the Lightning (rivals!) with our well-placed fanfare/spirits shared by all in this media-broadcast era of great Canadian sport (ice-hockey) excellence!

THOMAS: As a media-associate of the broadcast-industry, we're hyping celebrity-endorsements of the Flames-Lightning arts!

In Game 1 of the Finals, my 'faerie-brethren' and I took command while holding-off the 'legendary' bullyish tactic(s) of the rival Lightning. The Press hailed, "Calgary's Flames reminds us of the good-old greatness of the Miracle of the American team spirits during the great Olympics."

RED-MASK: We're generating youth-friendly 'faerie-art(s)' depicting children in uniforms for defense of Calgary's flame(s).

CALGARY HERALD: The Red-Mask swapped Baron Goldfinger's blood-gems with red-toys for media-IQ about gossip-doctorates.

INTERPOL: Blood-diamond corruption threatens the world-gem exchanges/markets and makes capitalism woe!

During the Stanley Cup finals, there'd been a great uniform-parade for the fans of the Flames who'd been accented as great patriots in this media-broadcast era of sports-unifying continental friendship.

RED-MASK: Our Robin Hood cyber-fanzine has incorporated terrific forest-imagery of kids in Canadian gear for social diet(s).

The Flames-faerie avatar we use is the great Catholic-devotee 'angel' from the mystical red-cloud dimension of 'Outworld' and we've named her, for our Robin Hood and Flames patriotics Dartmouth --- for her skills with great social dance and defense of capitalism sorcery!

JAYE: We think our Red-Mask outfit will rid the world of blood-gem hellmouths and augment the 'crusade' against Lightning.

CALGARY HERALD: Who'd think these new 'faerie-recruits' for our 'crusade' against Lightning would generate 'shiny' gossip?

However, our mission stretched beyond the borders of Goldfinger vault-rooms and into the snowy hills of armed-forces defense against an invasion by a Cobra-terrorist force employed to protect piracy-gem traffic, requiring us to serve as 'sentinels' of the Calgary depression!

RED-MASK: We believe these blood-diamond 'rebels' employed by Goldfinger's dominion represents modern fears of gossip.

As the invasion conflagrated a riot in Calgary/Vancouver during the ice-hockey playoffs, we'd serve as helmeted keepers-of-sanity, casting us as the 'dark knights' of the continental exchange...and 'real' journalism. It all felt like a 'dogma' film by Stanley Kubrick.

The casualties-of-war included a major diplomacy-monarch whose funeral was attended by major media-figures invested in the modern form(s) of socialized rituals of media-driven accents for peace-functions. It's a media-world, which we defend to uphold 'positive' news-stories!

CALGARY HERALD: The Flames have triumphed in the usurping of the Lightning (4-3), and no one will forget these 'faeries.'

We're not simply after standard news-jargon, but instead we seek the serious forms of continental sportsmanship in the modern world of commercial overground activity for healthy and safe diamond-marketing and ice-hockey fanfare, to make Calgary/Canada a 'haven' for social dance in this post-9/11 era of great worldly paranoia.
