A 'strange' cyber-chat between the two 'princes' of Gotham, the insane Joker...and the 'destiny' Batman!

"
A DC Comics fanfiction/debate between Batman and Joker. Enjoy,

Batman and Joker had been on the opposite sides of the axis of the underworld for a few years now, and they were the diametric opposite princes of Gotham City. One, a prince of business and vigilantism, a dark knight of the modern American city, while the other had become the prince of darkness, a red dragon of the hellmouth of criminal insanity! Batman was actually a socialite-businessman by day, Bruce Wayne, head of Wayne Enterprises, and no one knew this but the butler Pennyworth. Joker had been a 'normal' mafia-man before a chemical waste accident during a plant-raid which rendered him skin-miscolored and insane. Batman prowled around with his tranquilizer-darts and rope-gun and wrangled in the worst hellraisers of the city, including Scarecrow, Penguin, and Leviathan. Joker meanwhile had only one friend, Harley Quinn, his crazy clown-dressed mistress of sin and criminal anarchy. He was the prince of darkness and people of the city considered him the epitome of the 'laughter' of sin/vice. This is why many consider the Batman/Joker duality a 'hallmark' of crime-storytelling.

BRUCE WAYNE: I know nothing of this 'terrorist' Joker and know his work(s) with Hell ain't nothing more than bad company!
JOKER: I dunno or care who Wayne is, but I do care who/what Batman will become!

This is the strange truth of Gotham City --- it's one of the wrestling of crime and civics. Batman was friends with a lawyer named Harvey Dent who went insane and became a rogue self-appointed punisher in the underworld. Joker even took Harvey ('Two-Face') under his wing for a short time! Joker and Batman finally met, online, for a strange 'chat'-debate which would illuminate what made these two 'strangers' of the American insane-city messengers (or diplomats!) of 'real' darkness...or intrigue-IQ. Who wouldn't find such an online/cyber-discussion reflective of Western/American civilization distress/deformity? Nevertheless, one might think these two 'guys' were once pals, perhaps 'bros' during childhood (or something like that!).

BATMAN: You believe you're a prince of bright lights, Joker?
JOKER: We're not so different buddy!
BATMAN: Well, most comic-book writers consider us opposites.
JOKER: I mean...what would you be without me, buddy?
BATMAN: I'd be sane, I think.
JOKER: Well, the thing is Batman, I wonder if all this 'IQ' about Gotham is a game.
BATMAN: It's a game alright...a chess-game.
JOKER: I loathe chess!
BATMAN: I wagered such a claim.
JOKER: You on the other hand remind me of that 'shiny' prince of capitalism (Wayne).
BATMAN: He's an upright advocate of the paths of capitalism that make America bright.
JOKER: Sure, sure...but what about you, buddy?
BATMAN: I think I just want to clarify one intentionality with you, Joker --- "no pain, no gain."
JOKER: You exercise (work-out) much?
BATMAN: I used to, but now I just use loose/casual exercises to just stay fit and muscular.
JOKER: Sure, sure...you've to deal with that steroids-brute...Bane?
BATMAN: Bane is evil, a real brute.
JOKER: What about me?
BATMAN: Well, you're the opposite of me, Joker.
JOKER: That's my point too, buddy!
BATMAN: Sure it is, but you think such a 'claim' is some kind of insidious joke.
JOKER: You don't 'believe' we're both insane?
BATMAN: Maybe I'm a costumed freak like you too, but I brood about the law and its ornaments.
JOKER: What's so special about that?
BATMAN: I'm more a writer...you're more a prankster.
JOKER: We'll never agree!
BATMAN: Isn't that the 'diamond' of this entire discussion online, Joker?
JOKER. Right.
