Bo: Chess-Hermit

An Outworld hermit-combatant (Bo) crosses into Earth-realm and transforms (temporarily) into a human 'prince' to see if his chess-hermitage can yield 'special' dots.

Bo was a hermit-like martial-arts combatant in the Outworld fight-tourneys of Mortal Kombat and decided he'd try his hand at playing the life of a transformed identity-human on Earth-realm. He wanted to see if he could make friends or find a intellectual-bond for love/romance.

He crossed through a wizard's Outworld space-portal to travel into Earth-realm and don the identity/appearance of a humanoid named Amlan Satan, a chess-master of Algerian-American heritage and residence in New England. The portal would only be open for a short time, so he'd have to make his life-education efficient before the portal closed (forever)!

As the chess-wizard Amlan Satan, Bo toured all around Europe playing great chessmasters and amateurs/fans, all the while trying to make friends with people he'd play. However, his skills were so consummate that people tended to think of him as standoffish, vain, arrogant, and too erudite. He realized he was, by nature, a 'ninja' and hence somehow irreversibly separate from the clan-based civilization he tried to integrate into as a chess buddy.

DIARY: I've invited multiple friends/peers to my New England house for chess-tea and women for romance too --- to no avail.

DIARY: I conclude my chess-skills render me a continuous 'hermit' even in Earth-realm, but I'll remember the 'dream' of love.

Nevertheless, while in Earth-realm, Bo (Amlan Satan) collected souvenirs/treasures which he'd consider great 'trophies' of civilization daydreams/imagination/ideology, including a Dartmouth cardigan, a Gaugin painting, a Swatch-watch, and a toy telephone. He wanted to return to Outworld claiming, "I may be a hermit of chess, but I've gathered 'mementos' of the mind's eye regarding the 'beauty' of treasures...and sentiment!"

When he returned to Outworld, he made drawings of innocence-themed nature-scenes like flowery trees, almost like child-doodles of color-pencil use and cast them as re-presentations of his newfound spiritual (Catholic?) dream of detecting 'notes' of magic in an otherwise life of isolationism, a life of chess-hermitage!

RAIDEN: You've never known 'true' love, Bo?
BO: I traveled to Earth-realm and retrieved great 'trophies' of sentimentalism, Lord Raiden.

RAIDEN: How about romance?
BO: I got this awesome archery-set from India, reflective of the mind's eye for 'targeting' magic and fortune!

RAIDEN: Where's the targeting of the heart, Bo?
BO: It's all in the number of arrows, Raiden.

Bo never did marry or establish a lifelong friend, but he did learn that despite his isolated life of chess-hermitage, he learned about the metaphysical 'oddity' of finding 'moments' of beauty in his otherwise 'sea-life' of self-imposed chess dough!
