Haddonfield-Kids: A Cop's Doughnut

Haddonfield-Kids: A Cop's Doughnut

A Story by Abishai100
"

Narrated 'ghost-story' of a missing-youth trailing Haddonfield-cop who describes his 'quest' for spiritual daylight.

"
A 'deep-blue' Father's Day short inspired loosely by the haunting modern tragedy film The Sweet Hereafter (Ian Holm). Enjoy (and stay safe!),

I've been a cop for some time now, in the United States (Haddonfield) after moving here from Algeria and becoming a citizen and Catholic-convert and began patrolling South Jersey for a specific statistical problem the area had been seeing/witnessing for some time now --- the case of missing/kidnapped youth (kids). My name's Amlan Satan.

Every time you see a missing-youth flyer posted on a place in South Jersey (United States), all you think is the feeling of haunting and regret, for some unobserved instance of either neglect or willful crime linked to direct kidnapping. This is the worst kind of antisocial feeling out there, and it's worse than 9/11 sometimes in your gut. Every time a youth-disappearance is posted like a news-flyer, all you think as a cop is "What's the subject of the darkness" and wonder.

I drive an undercover red Saab car and drive it around all over South Jersey by Haddonfield (United States) working incognito searching for missing kids whose faces appear on those terrible posted flyers. I work undercover and look like a non-cop and ask street-kids and random pedestrians if they'd seen anyone who resembles a given youngster whom I claimed 'ran-away' from home, and I get clues/leads sometimes. I've been able to retrieve/find the living/dead bodies of 15 of the 40 kids I've searched for as a missing-kids trailing undercover Haddonfield-cop (United States)!

Now, 'historic' Haddonfield (South Jersey) is quite an iconic/idyllic traffic-area in the United States, and stories of missing-youth from such a place really affects the mind(s). However, these missing-youth posted flyers are from all around the Haddonfield (South Jersey) area and not specific/only to Haddonfield. So I consider my mission one of great symbolism and weight, since such a place (United States) is the 'hostel' to pluralism securities in this post-9/11 era!

For the achievements in my line-of-work, I'd been awarded a special medallion by the mayor of New Jersey Haddonfield area, and I keep it in my wall in my South Jersey apartment, and I've recently sought a European mail-order-bride to 'complete' my life, so she'll move to NJ/USA to live with me and give me a life of Catholic joy(s) in dear old Haddonfield.

PSYCHIATRIST: So, you see the image(s) of great 'dragon-aliens' in your dream-sleep when you think of the missing kids?
ME: Yeah; I get that strange 'cinema' horror-thought that the missing youth were abducted by Xenomorph dragons/aliens!
PSYCHIATRIST: Maybe you're projecting your feeling of failure(s) into visualizations of projected/society 'monster' avatars?
ME: Yeah; maybe it'd be better if they're abducted by Xenomorph aliens than humans we wouldn't dream would do such evil.
PSYCHIATRIST: That's a 'heavy' thought you need to entreat with your Klonopin light-med.
ME: Yeah...Xenomorphs are raw evil (haha).

So, I got married to my European immigrant/mail-order-bride ('Ezzy') and we live in Haddonfield, and she's so proud of me, of the kind of United States missing-youth trailing undercover-cop work I try to do in New Jersey (East Coast). As a Catholic-duo, we consider ourselves 'lucky' to enjoy the movies/stories that celebrate domestic/Western values of comfy-life, and I still think how to 'apply' the fortune to the aid of others (kids!).
