This the faerie-tale of what happened one autumn after my school won a major sports-football award, which inspired many of us to dress-up and cheer (with flair).

After my beloved Spartans defeated the Fightin' Irish, we all decided to take a road-trip in this era of media-sports IQ.

HOLLYWOOD REPORTER: College sports had become synonymous with 'outstanding' forms of socialized distances.

So, I took my daughter to the Giger-Alien (sci-fi horror) museum-exhibit in North America, where she'd join me in post-triumph cheers with media/entertainment arts (Calgary).

The Alien sci-fi horror franchise had become known for its canonical view/approach to extra-terrestrial life explorations/misadventures and the vanguards of what makes our own species so curious about vitality and fitness.

The word 'alien' may refer to a 'being' outside Earth or an Earth-migrant without 'official' residential status, and I explained this to my daughter as we perused the cool Calgary science-museum exhibition floors/rooms and inquired about the Giger-Alien exhibition re-presenting the forms of sci-fi horror that captures a human curiosity about transcending great shock.

Meanwhile, the Flames were set to start a season with high anticipation and vitality, and ice-hockey is much more popular than college-football in Calgary (North America), and I wondered about those terrifying insect-dragon alien 'creatures'/beings from the iconic Alien sci-fi horror franchise, known as Xenomorphs, which reflect a human fitness curiosity about body-sculpting for motion or danger.

"The creature we finally ended up building is biomechanical to the extent that he has physically grown into, or maybe even out of, his seat, - he's integrated totally into the function he performs" (GIGER).

To think/believe that a non-Earth intelligence 'being' like the insect-dragon Xenomorph would capture a human fascination with the shapes/colors of vitality or motion or danger or dance is to understand the nature of human curiosity about what comprises the designs and diagonals of the dragon itself (I told my daughter!).

I purchased after that Calgary-visit following the Spartans (sports!) triumph a 'fantastic' Aliens digital-media package for my daughter, and we'd watch/enjoy on a new (eBay) Hitachi-Plasma (Detroit).

The next month, I met my future wife, Shelbye, a New England linguistics prof who likes the delicate links between language-arts and lifestyle fitness endemic of our modern era of great pedestrian-traffic oriented photojournalism and society-chat (e.g., Facebook).

I then purchased for my daughter a super-cool 'Red-Xenomorph' action-figure (alien-dragon) which has a push-button talk-scream feature which 'truly' excite(d) her!

SHELBYE: What I 'think' excites my hubby and our shared daughter about Alien and life-fitness is the ideation of dance!

If we ever do make contact with a dynamics-symbolic alien 'being' and/or have to carry-out a fantastic 'misadventure' like in the Alien sci-fi horror franchise/films, I think what we'd come/walk away with is a simply modern IQ regarding the 'mastery' of Earth's natural distances. This should be the subject of my new novel, Alien: Decameron.
