Lindy and her child Azaria were in the Aussie-Outback camping with their family/friends one season when they' noticed one night that perhaps a dingo (wild-dog) entered Azaria's baby-tent and seemed to kidnap her.

The horrific incident prompted an Outback search-party of unprecedented level(s) and generated a windstorm of media, especially when detectives suggested/accused Lindy the mother herself of heresy/witchcraft. Apparently, rumors flew that Lindy and her husband Michael along with a handful of their friends camping in the Outback may've been part of some deranged child-sacrifice witch-cult or generated some in-clan Occult practice to generate some kind of group Aussie story. What ensued was an immense Australian media-circus which altered the resilience-IQ for Lindy and Michael's surviving family of their two young boys.

HOLLYWOOD REPORTER: It seemed that dingo remained the 'prime' suspect, and this strange vagueness will inspire cinema!

The Aussie Outback is a true marvel of Mother Nature, and the immaculate Ayers Rock leaves nothing to be desired/haunted by any modern nature-camper/traveler, but the dark-cry Lindy/Azaria tale generated much angst in Australia that season. Linday was found guilty of the murder of her child after her bloody baby-clothing was discovered some distance away from the camp-tent. However, the media-driven case would resurface when another piece of Azaria's baby-clothing was then discovered at a greater distance away from the camp-tent, suggesting a dingo took it there.

CRITIC: The political jargon/legalese/chatter generated by the conviction/appeal turned Lindy into a cultural-celebrity.

Of course, the real/only 'celebrity' of this very dark media-case was Azaria the ill-fated child herself who'd only want to be considered an 'angel' of messaging in this trauma involving a trauma and ensuing media speculation(s).

The case drew my interest as an American writer. My name's Amlan Satan, and I write stories about the human condition(s) of Earth, and the Azaria-case of Australia sent shockwaves through the human heart/brain, since it reminded us of the 'depression' of drama and the challenge(s) of storytelling. Did Azaria find herself in the jaws of a tent-kidnapping dingo (wild-dog) during that camping-season in the Outback? Was she the pawn-sacrifice in some bizarre Occult ritual-practice engaged by her parents and their coven-friends? Such an ambiguity surely drew my interest in stories, since I'm fascianted by the modern 'links' between photojournalism...and human distances.

HOLLYWOOD REPORTER: The dingo being the 'prime' suspect is what drew the 'fires' of speculation regarding Occult activity!

On this fair Blue Planet, we've seen many forms of drama and intrigue and complexity and pure challenges and/or tribulations. We've endured much as a species and continue to exercise interests in storytelling, and the Azaria-tale is one of ceaseless dark proportion. Linday was eventually acquitted of her charges after the second-article of baby-clothing was found at a greater distance from the campsite, offering more argumentation about dingo-involvement. However, the media-circus case served to remind the world that the signature feature of the 'human culture' is perhaps/arguably the tones of innocence queried...or diluted.

"I'm told, 'Don't talk like you normally talk. Watch how you hold your mouth. You look too sour and crabby. Don't get angry. Don't ask too many questions, or they think you're trying to be smug. And never, never, never laugh or you're uncaring...Well, I can't cry to order, and I won't be squashed into some dumb act for the public... or for you" (Lindy Chamberlain).
