A Pirate Dressing

A Pirate Dressing

A Story by Abishai100
"

Scruffy the 'pirate' takes Ms. Park on an intercontinental whirlwind detour which may reveal 'strange' daydreams.

"
An Earth-romance of very 'free-spirited' indulgence or experimentation, inspired very loosely by Serendipity (John Cusack). Hope you like it (and Happy 4th!),

The Calgary bank is the place where a lovely young woman named Park works and was visited one day by a man who seemed to be dressed/costumed (at least) as a real-life pirate and presented himself inside the institution as Scruffy.

SCRUFFY: Ms. Park, I'd like to take you on a flight to Europe for a special tourist-visit to the Giger-Alien museum (Facebook!).

PARK: Alright, I guess...I mean this is kind of romantic/unusual, but do you have a nice ride (you mentioned a Saab limo)?

Once in Europe, Park/Scruffy were overwhelmed by the rich-lush imagery of the iconic sci-fi horror franchise artworks depicting the 'leviathan' structuralism of the other 'world' of alien intelligence of a hideous/evil quality, and Ms. Park felt like she was 'dating' suddenly a rather imaginative real-life 'pirate' who'd been showcasing to her a window into the Paradise-Lost vision of fantastic science-fantasy (horror!) storytelling.

PARK: The Air Canada flight to Europe was quite nice...a nice touch, Mr. Pirate.

SCRUFFY: Now, let's go to a children's art-center where a friend of mine works as a teacher, and we'll make watercolors!

This friend of Scruffy is another pirate of sorts, a Thai-man named Raki, who'd been given special Alien-franchise figurines (Red Xenomorphs!) which the kids/students liked to use as inspiration for their cool presentations of sci-fi horror and Facebook-diaries.

PARK: Alright, well this has been quite the storyteller's adventure (Scruffy), but now I need to ask...are we movie-time?

SCRUFFY: I just need to square-off one thing with the bank-manager in Switzerland (Mrs. Deagle) about our joint-bond(s)!

Once cleared of all his bonds/treasure(s) assessments, Scruffy took Ms. Park to a Paris-London Fog trench-coat show where she'd be cast as a new-era 'street-pedestrian' consumerism 'model' for a stage-light indicating TV-friendly views on the qualities of capitalism iconography. She'd become his special 'celebrity' doll (Scheherazade)!

PARK: I dunno what I enjoyed more...the fashion-boutique or the butter-chicken (India) express (Scruffy!).
SCRUFFY: This entire adventure Ms. Park was to indicate my newfound illumination you might be my muse for a pirate-fable.

Scruffy/Park got married, and she ended up becoming an Alien comics writer/artist, while her husband became a NASDAQ-investor in Brussels. They realized what made life 'fantastic' on Earth was the natural serendipity of 'discovered' dough.
