A-Sporting-Birdie: Drywall

A Story by Abishai100

A 'fantastic' Australian sports-game (tennis!) between two celebrities generates this narrated 'painting' of sportsmanship-diagonal(s).

"
A summertime sports daydream inspired loosely by Wimbledon (Kirsten Dunst) and referencing the iconic Edberg-Lendl rivalry series match, the awesome 5-set epic 1985 Australian Open SF match which reveals why Earthlings adore sportsmanship-distance(s).
DISCLAIMER: I've no 'official' ties to the Australian Open or the tennis-champions referenced in this work of sports-fanfiction and present this only as a casting of civilization diary definition (with no allusions to any specific company/brand!).

I've been covering a special Edberg-Lendl (men's tennis) rivalry-series match from the earlier point in their careers, in 1985, when the two met in the Australian Open SF match which was a 5-set saga which Edberg managed to win. I consider this sports-fanfiction of tennis a 'diadem' of modern sportsmanship and worthy of 'cool' Facebook-IQ! Follow along.

Tennis requires grace and smarts and strategy and focus and self-awareness and its design/flair has generated some nice 'satellite' sports storyboarding and comics-oriented media/entertainment and even a full-length feature-film starring Kirsten Dunst and Sam Neill.

In tennis the opponents face each other across a diving ground-net across which they must use a net-stick called a racquet to volley a small fuzzy ball across the divider-net for sets of scoring involving endurance and offense/defense. It's really a rather defined sport of erudition and also intrigue, inspiring all kinds of entertainment in modern media.

I'm covering this Edberg-Lendl Australian Open 1985 SF match between the two legendary greats of men's tennis who've been pioneers in the media celebration of what makes this social/pro activity so representative of Earth-civilization diaries.

Of course, such a great sport would of course yield great media-marketing and ads and merchandising and trophies and of no doubt capitalism-money. It's the thing of great flair and success, and we might notice a tennis champion drive a media-ad McLaren sports-car after grabbing a title from Australia/England this year!

Stefan Edberg is a true gentleman of the game of men's tennis and hails from Sweden, which is a terrific Euro-nation with world-commercial offerings in autos (Saab) and furniture (IKEA) and with Stockholm capital-city tourism has become iconic in regional/cultural enchantment. Edberg has captured many titles in men's tennis including Wimbledon and has rivaled the likes of Lendl and Boris Becker (Germany), bringing nice marketing-stories for Stockholm.

Ivan Lendl on the other hand was the 'cool iron man' of men's tennis and generated many titles and garnered a long-standing world-#1 ranking in the circuit. He's from Czechoslovakia, which is another Euro-nation of certain features of niceties and design, and the capital-city of Prague is a tourism-site for sure! Lendl has won many titles and boasts comparable rivalry laurels with the likes of Edberg, Becker, and McEnroe (USA), bringing marketing-stories to Prague!

It was this epic 5-set 1985 Australian Open men's SF match (hard-court!) generating the long-earned 6-7, 7-5, 6-1, 4-6, 9-7 final score, a real tedious but diligent victory for the Swedish celebrity. The reason this sports-fanfiction references this epic Aussie-match is because it's captured our Earth-civilization IQ and intuition regarding the fine-tuning of sportsmanship in the media-broadcast era.

No one knows what these guys are like off-court, when they're not playing tennis but immersed in the grandness of men's sportsmanship and touring the world to gain more Grand Slam titles for their home-countries! However, on-court, they exemplify what makes men's tennis (and generally any sport!) indicative of human imagination for any sports fan. You don't need to know much about tennis to appreciate such a 'dance' on Earth, right?

In fact, a game like this Aussie-classic 'illuminates' why we sports-fans in the media-broadcast era find ourselves drawn by the magic/charms of media-markets and ads creating portraits of what makes media and commerce definitively tied in the world of modern civilization dollars (or magazine-promotions!).

Such an epic 5-set scoreline in this legendary Edberg-Lendl rivalry reveals why a hard-wrought match, featuring a back-and-forth set-progression of closeness, fierceness, ruggedness, timelessness, and stainlessness! You can almost 'feel' why such a close-scoreline would reflect why the Swedish-champion (Edberg) and the Czech-champion (Lendl) would be considered a 'mirror-duet' for tales of 'divine' competitiveness. Why do Earthlings love tennis? Why, it's all in the 'dye' of course!
